In my new music video, I give a little back to Kate Bush, who inspired the song in an interesting way. I met someone I started to get feelings for, through a mutual interest in her music. I got to thinking about the first time I heard her music, and the friend that introduced her to me.
What if I had never heard it? Then, I would have never felt this…
I thought that would make an interesting song. Here’s The Road:

So, recently I started to fall for someone that I started talking to, cos we both loved Kate Bush. Long story short, it didn't work out, so I recorded this song. I had been listening a lot to Kate & Tears For Fears at the time, so I wanted to add some electronic drum track to my music, which normally I keep pretty much stripped down. Anyway, if there are any Kate Bush fans out there that enjoy or relate to this, that would make me really happy. Thanks for listening. www.theautomaticshoes.com
This song is nothing without foot-stamping and pounding drums, but here's Jeepster with just my vocals, electric guitar, and a few strings. www.theautomaticshoes.com

I scribbled this song into my notebook while driving & listening to George Harrison's All Things Must Pass... here's the video. Hope you like it!
This is from my album As It Is, which is available on bandcamp.
Automatic Shoes' recording of I'm So Afraid, largely influenced by the way Lindsey is currently performing the song on his solo tour, will be featured on the upcoming album Family Tree: A Tribute To Fleetwood Mac.
Starting November 15th, the full album will be available for free from DeBurgio Records at http://deburgiorecords.bandcamp.com
This is from my album As It Is that I have been working on for most of this year. Most of the songs, I've been drawing inspiration from meditation and some of the Buddhist teachings. A lot of the songs are about accepting life as it is, taking the good and the bad as it comes, and reacting appropriately.
Musically, I feel I'm drawing a bit more from George Harrison than I have before, and of course Marc Bolan - he's the one that made me teach myself to play. Hope the music interests you, if you're seeing this. Peace! www.theautomaticshoes.com
