Angel Hare AUtober 2025: Day 19 - Rip-off of a rip-off and Day 22 - Office Life
Once again, two drawings with a very different level of time invested (': Though, that was kinda deliberate on Day 19. We don't have the money for stuff like time and thoughtfulness :V
For Day 19 - even a rip-off of a rip-off needs a faithful companion! Fiz is a dog that made a vow of silence, though he sometimes expresses a few startled 'woof' that Gub always seems to understand.
...Or at least, that's the in-show justification, but truly, there just was no money for a voice actor, so the animators just recorded a few sounds from one's pet :V
Fiz's sleeves are big enough they hide his hands, because hands are hard to draw okay, we don't have time for that. Actually, we don't even have time for sleeves either most of the time, it's all black anyways.
As for Day 22: Love it, hate it, every company needs an accountant. And sometimes, being an accountant means spending an hour looking back at all the receipts you entered in the software today to find the one single number you typed out wrong and made a mess. It could be worse. At least Maddie the intern isn't there to yell because why hasn't she received her salary yet.

Trying to make a plan where all 5 students are included (François was busy with not having a character design club activities) was too ambitious for me.
But well, that's what I've been telling myself through most days of this challenge. I mean, it literally started with me having to switch to Clip Studio Paint, that I had yet to use, and by now I think I've found my marks on it. Now, I have to improve my art skills :V
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! its kinda bittersweet that it's over but i liked drawing but kinda happy and sad that its done also this is my brother @Juansito1 (his account on TikTok) and our costumes!!!
In which I am once again struggling with what size should I even make those pics being self-referential. Remember Space Hare? (Well, it was just yesterday for Tumblr. The whole reason I remembered posting it was because I was editing that one).

Angel Hare AUtober 2025 : Day 18 - Deepest Lore (with a reference to Day 10)
Lore from a totally trustworthy source (:
I struggled both initially in deciding which universe to use the prompt, then which way to use it (one version had the true Francis back in the void), but for now I'm just happy I'm done with this.
...Perhaps I should have made a fic this whole time.
Angel Hare AUtober 2024 : Day 17 - Angel Hare in Space!
My joker card. I did had that pic planned from before this year's AUtober, and it turned out I ended up having to take a break from drawing just as we reached Day 17 (': I wasn't inspired by this year's prompt, so. Guess it's my replacement.
This came with a little text on its own:
Subject: French dub of Space Hare?
Alright, this is a far shoot, but I figured a lost medias forums might help me.
So, in 80s, 90s, France was importing all those Japanese animes, because Japan didn’t care about international market and sold them for pretty much nothing. They were heavily edited, the names changed, the translations were pretty… liberal, at times, and the voice actors didn’t help. But it still impacted a whole generation of kids- “Dorothée” generation, for that one TV presenter.
Among those animes were Space Hare. It never was much of a success in Japan- they did make three seasons, plus one OAV, but I don’t think they even sold figurines, which is pretty dire for a mecha anime. Now, in France, I guess they wanted to ride the wave of Goldorak’s success? But it was an even bigger failure. They only got the rights for 24 episodes, and the last 6 weren’t even broadcasted due to lack of audience. And then… no VHS, no DVD, no trace of it at all.
I tried looking to see if someone didn’t have an homemade VHS of any episode, but no luck, and the company that took care of the french release, ‘Couronne de Vie’, doesn’t exist anymore. I’m frankly at a loss. I’m not even that big on lost medias, but I hold this one dear. It may only have been for a small part of my childhood, but it truly comforted me, in a way that watching the original doesn’t do for me.
For context, in case this rings a bell:
Space Hare is supposed to take place in a future where the Earth is at war with aliens, and a few people are chosen to pilot those huge robots to protect the planet against them, nicknamed the “guardians angels” of humanity. One of those pilots, Gabrielle (‘Hakuto’ in the original dub), saved our protagonist (Jon? Jean? I can’t remember, but it’s ‘Yona’ in the original) when he was a little boy, which inspired him to become a robot engineer. Of course, by the miracle of plot convenience, he ends up working directly for Gabrielle.
There was a whole arc where she goes missing after a mission, and Jon has to help this other shady pilot to rebuild his old mecha (an oldie that went out of commission because it was too janky and expensive), so he can leave the space base incognito along with Gabrielle’s friend/communicator to search for a signal. Another story arc was with this other pilot (‘Camille’, I think? The redhead one on the illustrations) wanting to use an experimental robot that keeps changing form as it adapts to the enemy.
The original show went further on, but I don’t remember the french dub going further, and that seems to track with the number of episodes released.
So, like, if anyone got some clue, even only a clip, I would gladly take it.
