Auto from Wall-E - Aluminum Foil Sculpture
And finally, my baby boy baby
Here's my AU Design for AUTO! He's GLaDOS and HAL's son and is a bit of a brat.
I also included my super old original concept sketch for him because I forgot to add on his ref that he has the BnL logo on the back of his shirt :,)
A continuation on that "open up your eyes" prompt.
After Henry and Reginald's little conversation, he begins noticing little things, like shifty and suspicious glances, people blaming him for things whether it was his fault or not, missing items of his found broken or in difficult to reach spots that get him into trouble. It seemed like everyone was against him. All except Charles. He told Charles about his and Reginald's conversation and he tried to convince Henry that no one was out to get him, at least, not everyone. Charles was on his side.
That was until Charles got an order from Galeforce to personally hand over Henry to the CCC. Henry trusted Charles, as such he'd let his guard down around him and they can be rid of him for good. Charles was astounded. He thought out of everyone, the General, the one who gave Henry a second chance, wouldn't betray him like this. He tried to argue that "the CCC is unethical" and "Henry had done nothing wrong for two years!" But the General wasn't having it. He thought Henry was a menace, dangerous, and an abomination. A creature that needed to be locked up. Why do you think he sabotaged that mission that landed him in the Wall? Charles tried to reason with the General, but he just said that the beast had gotten into his head and that if he continued to protest, he would take it as refusal of compliance. Charles, throughly miffed, bitterly agrees and stalks out of the tent.
He make a b-line straight for his and Henry's apartment, changes, makes sure to check himself over for bugs, and goes to talk to Henry. He whole heartedly believes that Henry is a good man, that he wasn't a danger to those who mean him no harm. Henry was an avid reader, and studies all sorts of magic. Whenever Henry finds a new book to read or magic to study, he excitedly babbles on and on about it. Even though Charles can barely understand a word he says, he still loves that Henry was able to open himself up to him. Charles knows Henry's been trying his hardest to change, and it makes him sick that the General is being so cruel.
He tells Henry about what happened and they sit down to come up with a plan. To take out two birds with one stone, Charles will comply with the orders, taking Henry down the route to the CCC headquarters until they get to a certain point where they will meet up with the Toppats. Hopefully, if all goes well, Henry will be safe with the Toppats, and Charles can tell the general they were attacked and Henry was taken. If they were lucky, the General wouldn't care about where Henry ended up, just that he was off his base. If they met up at all on a mission or heist, they will play up the "bitter rivals" thing.
The plan goes off without a hitch and the Toppats are happy to take Henry in and are also rightfully horrified and furious at Galeforce. Reginald is pleasantly surprised that a "government dog" cares more about his friend than his career. Though he could tell it was also because of his strong morals and loyalty, too. Charles reminded him of himself when he was in the military, an Ace Pilot too. It seems old Galeforce tried to replace him with a younger and more naive pilot. He decided to keep an eye on Charles, just in case Galeforce eventually betrays him too.
It'd be nice to have another pilot in the clan...
A few months passed and Charles thought he was in the clear, that he got Henry to safety without Galeforce knowing.
But it turns out, he was being spied on by Dave Panpa of all people and after a routine mission, Galeforce had Charles' helicopter surrounded by Wall guards and Galeforce declaring Charles a traitor to the Government.
Charles locked his helicopter doors and took off, hoping the bullets being shot at the helicopter didn't hit anything important. Charles didn't have much fuel left, but he did have a plan.
Charles sped as fast as he could while putting in auto pilot coordinates into the navigation system. Then he went to the back and opened the back hatch enough to start throwing boxes at random intervals off.
Charles got into a box that was filled with coats and blankets and let the box slide off, making it look like that he was still piloting the helicopter.
The landing hurt pretty bad, but Charles didn't have any broken bones or other serious injuries.
Charles was sure there was a small Toppat outpost nearby where he landed and hoped that if he found it, that the Toppats would help him.
So Charles started his trek through the woods, not stopping for anything as he walked for several hours, keeping his ears out just in case.
The sun was setting when Charles found the small outpost, exhausted and hoping that the Toppats wouldn't try to kill him.
But it turns out that the Toppats were given special orders to help Charles if he asked for help, only citing that these were special orders from Reginald. Charles was confused at first, but then remembered that he did help Henry and probably earned some sort of respect from the leader if he had to guess.
Charles was soon given a hot meal and a place to rest, as the other Toppats let Reginald know of the situation. Reginald asked to speak with Charles over the phone and asked the former Government pilot what happened.
Charles explained everything to Reginald, with the Toppat leader impressed that Charles was able to hash out a plan as quick as he did and glad the helicopter pilot was ok.
---
Soon Charles found himself as an official member of the Toppat clan, becoming the newest leader of the newly christened Flight Division.
Henry was happy to be reunited with Charles, helping him get used to the clan and even introducing Charles to several people who he quickly became friends with.
And Charles found himself with a friendship with Reginald, the two telling stories of their time being with the Government and talking about their love of flying.
And Galeforce, well he struggled with finding a new pilot that was just as skilled as Charles and eventually found himself down two more troops as Rupert and Dave chose to leave the Government to live a quiet home life elsewhere.
