Have you ever been excited about the idea of a hyperfixation?
I'm at book number two of the Discworld series and lately discovered a YouTube video about the Discworld Audiobook which features Indira Varma, Peter Serafinowicz, BILL NIGHY, Colin Morgan, Andy Serkis, Sian Clifford and many others. And yes, Brenda, I know every line of the video already.
I can't wait to hyper-fixate on the entire series, learn every line and every character's voice, and shout them out loud at random moments during the day.
I JUST. CAN'T. WAIT.
Am I the only one?
yes (you're a wirdoo) - Oh, thanks! - pss it's not a compliment. - Oh...
no (tell me more in the comment please)
Please Hold Me Close| Autistic House/Wilson|1|
Sometimes Wilson wonders if he could not see House, in all of the older manâs glory. Last night, when he saw House in his sweatshirt, he couldnât bring himself to ask the older man to take it off. It seemed right when he saw House in the grey McGill shirt, a piece of him on the person he cared about so much more than he realized.
But, letâs not say House is blind, because heâs not, not when it comes to Wilson, never when it comes to Wilson. He notices how Wilson steals his Mint and Wood cologne whenever heâs out of his own. He knows Wilson gets a lot of money for simply being a person who tells other people they have cancer cells slowly eating away at them, so he has enough to get more. He notices how Wilson smiles whenever House says something rude to push people out as if he was reeling Wilson in instead.
Now, House was lying on his carpet, aware of Wilsonâs shuffling in the shared office. Wilson mutters something, or at least House believes it something irrelavent for his job.Wilson gets up and sits next to House on the floor. âI know you know House,â Wilson wasnât looking at his âfriendâ. House sighs and gives a smile. âYep, your pining is clear as daylightâ He responds, no malice in his tone at all which made Wilson turn to him. His breath hitches âHow long have you known?â House freezes when he saw the two clear drops in Wilsonâs eyes.Â
House stares, he should lie right? Say he didnât know, act like he was confused, but he couldnât. âTwo Years,â House states, honestly. Wilson doesnât say anything but he shouldâve known House wouldâve found out. House watches Wilsonâs brown eyes and sighs. âItâs not something I w-was expecting, but I should have known youâd find outâ Wilson looked so vulnerable, his brown eyes were so much more capable of emotion then Houseâs icy blue ones.
âYou're an idiot,â House said, repeating the same thing Wilson had once said to him. Wilson looked down, âI know, Iâm a shame to humanityâ Wilson was obviously feeling like he was the only one in love with a man who didnât care about peopleâs feelings, but even House was able to love âYour, my shame to humanity,â House pauses, âYou should see what I see, James,â House shuffles closer to Wilson, putting his head in Wilsonâs lap.
âWhat do you see?â Wilson asks, putting a shaky hand in Houseâs hair, House jumps at the sudden warmth, it had been a while since someone had touched him like this, and he cuddled into the warm hand. âA brilliant oncologist, with creamy-brown hair and eyes the color of my favorite chocolate, your kind, and so god-damn dumb happiness,â House closes his eyes âYour odd power to be able to read me like a book,â House sighs, âY-your really special Wilson,â Houseâs breath hitched âI love youâ Wilson moved his head to kiss Houseâs forehead, âI love you too House,â Wilson sighs âWe better get to work, letâs go out to dinner later, huh?â House smirks, âYep, see you then honeyâ House gets up, with Wilsonâs gentle help.Â

Whats an autistic 24 year old to do without a favourite subject to talk about for hours on end?
đ
I literally have nothing to fixate on and learn of.
I think I just figured out another one of my stims!
I walk with heavy footing and get a lot of attitude for it because I am loud when I walk, but I just figured out that the reason I like doing that (especially when wearing heavy shoes like boots) is because I like the feeling of my feet hitting the ground, it helps me feel "grounded" (hahahaha lol)
