I got it!! 😭

This will be the first job I’ve ever had that actually would offer me benefits and isn’t a “pay your dues” kind of job, it’s taken such a long time to get but it’s so relieving to finally have it!

Also an update on something I mentioned a long while ago about me going back to school, I kind of dropped out 😅

Not too big of a deal! I already have a BA and the classes were for a career pivot, unfortunately things just didn’t work out.

Times have been tough, heck TMOTD was born from tough times in my life, so I’m just grateful to be able to share some good news with yall!

To everyone that's read Dangan Ronpa IF: Revival, Revival Remix, Junkan Week 2x2, and anything else I've written on AO3, here, Fimfiction or anywhere else. It feels good knowing that there are people out there that enjoy reading and seeing my work, that I do have some sort of pull for people. To think a piece of mine would hit that many for hits, especially with a ship that for the longest time was considered niche and went with the approach of doing f/f front and center. It's very lovely.

Revival, as I've said before on various occasions, was a very messy piece from someone who was still learning the actual steps and conventions of writing. There was no actual plotted out outline, chapters were added on a whim when I thought something would be cool, it was overly edgy for the sake of being shocking and getting a rise. It was a fic written by a teen who wanted to make something look super cool. You read that, it becomes obvious. But, people still liked it to get it to this point. People still commented. And now here we are with Revival Remix, that's actually pretty close to hitting 2K views itself, and this ask blog that's so very close to 50 followers. And I'm thankful for every single one of you.

Am I fully proud of Revival? Eh. It's got that teen cringe to it and reading through it again and not just skipping around through it would take some real determined focus, but I still love it. I still love the journey I put Junko and Mikan through, and you can tell that because I've done not one but two return chapters with both the bonus chapter in Revival Remix and the little return chapter at the end of Junkan Week. They were my first go, and so they'll always have a spot in my heart. Maybe they'll have a new adventure of their own, maybe past and present will in full despairing glory. Perhaps they are better off happy in their own lives without us interrupting. Who knows, but I am forever thankful for all they've gotten me.

After finishing the original ending for IF, I actually burned out on writing Danganronpa and JunkoMikan. That story had taken up years of my life and being in a post V3 world was kind of the like message "It's OK to take breaks. To step away. Danganronpa is over, and so is this story. And that's OK." And so I did. I got to writing for other things, I got into other games, anime, books, movies and more. I feel happy. I'm older now and I feel happy.

And then the September Nintendo Direct came last year, and I was pulled back in. Two days later, and we were back with Junko Enoshima waking up in a hospital after what was supposed to be her end, and the only one at her side being her most loyal of followers. My brain was rushing and already filled with ideas and what I wanted, I felt so confident. I was back to my beloveds, and I've been back ever since. Thank you once again to everyone who's read these stories, commented, kudos'd, left and ask and all the other stuff. You all want to make me keep writing. And I will. I'll keep writing and improving, and I'll get the ideas I want out to all of you. It won't all be Junko and Mikan, it won't be all fanfiction for that fact, but I'll be better and better at writing it because of your support. Thank you again.
