consider this: we have a narrative interlude that covers every day of the week. i have already posted monday as its own chapter.

So, my aunt got inspired to write a screenplay. The screenplay is based on some real things she's experienced, but slightly exaggerated, and almost all of the characters are based on real people she knows, and doesn't like. The characters are intentionally written to be annoying caricatures of actual people she knows, in order to make fun of them.

Personally, I don't think that's super weird, because let's be honest, what writer hasn't taken elements of people they don't like and incorporated them into characters?

My issue is with the fact that my aunt genuinely wants to pitch this screenplay to studios and have it made into a real show.

I've warned her about lawsuits that could result from this, and she is taking that seriously, but she doesn't seem to think it's weird that she wants to make a whole tv show based on the premise of mocking her ex-friends she doesn't like. But I think that going that far is a little extreme, it seems weird, petty, and potentially really unhealthy, at least to me. Especially since the people she's trying to mock don't sound like they were any more dangerous or toxic than the average jerk.* They were just people she thought were stuck-up and annoying.

(*I don't know that much, though. Maybe it'll come out that they were all involved in some mind-blowing scandal and I'll eat my words.)
