He was a few glasses in by the time he had finished dinner, and his forth was being nursed as he left the table insisting that he was still considerably sober, rhetoric for this being,of course, that he was still standing on his own. With that, Vasily left, no more in the mood for their company than he was for a sword through his gut. He much rather wished to wander and enjoy his drink away from the boring talk, sure than he could find far better company. Going where his feet directed him, eventually growing chilly within the stone walls (most likely due to him losing some of his layers as he drank) and in perfect timing, finding a fireplace after following it’s gentle glow.
A heavy sigh followed as he finally reached it, moving towards the light and leaning into it. It took a few moments for him to realize that he had wandered into a kitchen, though he couldn’t say whose, and since he was alone, decided to get comfortable. There were a few more drinks taken from his glass before Vasily noticed a figure signalling that he was no longer alone. Expecting a maid or a fat, old cook, he lay his eyes on a fair blonde who’s loveliness was shocking enough to arouse a gasp. “My word.... such an angel wandering around without a chaperon...” He muttered without thinking. “ Are you a gift?”
