aurene, sweetie, you're doing amazing
Also this thing I had a go at for possible server sticker use.
Without you I'll be heartless Oh, light can only shine in the darkness
I realized I have never drawn Mael with Aurene before, for how much I rant about them. They mean so much to me, especially their unlikely dynamic of opposites. A necromancer is probably the "worst" class to showcase the Champion of Aurene's connection to our dearest dragon daughter, but, by pure accident, their themes ended up working so well as the balance of light and dark. The Commander who taught the Scion how to love and treasure mortals, and the Scion who saved the Commander's soul from withering away into evil. Both doomed to die, but return for the sake of the other.
Even though Mael had lost his inner light, Aurene now shines in its place.
(Closeups below cut)
What if Xalath was a champion of each of the Elder Dragons? 🐲

GW2 CC Art Fight piece for @guildtree ft. Loretta Ingull and a very hungry baby Aurene. :D This one was fun! Sponsored by ArenaNet!
You will always be my little Aurene
I had an idea... Showing how they both matured through the years! First picture is from Season 3, the second picture is from EoD.
Also a slight side note for the first pic:
Michael isn't a norn but since he was 12 he was raised by one and adopted a lot from their culture. In the picture he is also paying tribute to the fallen Commander - Minerva - who raised him and trained him. The "tattoos" are just paint xd
