i feel like ajay was probably an attempt to balance out all of the FUCKIN WEIRD SHIT happening in strangetown, but the devs accidentally made him Too Normal and thus... kind of boring on the surface level.

but i feel like his ‘normality’ is a strength of his rather than a weakness because it makes for a very flexible character in my eyes.

Sexuality Headcanon: asexual, not very interested in romance, and married to his job as an scia agent, at least in my game. i somehow just realized that he’s like the john mole of strangetown.

Gender Headcanon: man

A ship I have with said character: i don't strongly ship him with anyone in particular, but if i had to choose, i probably would ship him with lola. idk i just think they seem like a good match because they are both fairly serious people who put a great deal of focus into their hobbies and careers than they do relationships.

and as such they wouldn't require that much emotional investment from each other to be satisfied, and they could understand each other on a variety of levels too.

i’d see their relationship as a very ‘cozy’ one, less about romantic passion and more about just having someone to talk to, knowing that they’re never alone bc they have each other. i know that sounds like a Friendship but, hear me out: they'd also be married, for both financial benefits and companionship. it'd be like getting married to your best friend, and i think that's valid.

A BROTP I have with said character: hmmm. i mean i guess him and lola could qualify for this as well.

i could also see him and kristen being friends, possibly.

A NOTP I have with said character: i’m not necessarily opposed to shipping him with the other singles girls but in the case of kristen / ajay, interpreting kristen as a lesbian has been burnt into my brain and now i just can’t see her with a man.

A random headcanon: while on the job, he tries to act as a sociable 'generic guy' who is easy to talk to, but hints of his real personality often peek through without him realizing it. he doesn't truly know himself as well as he think he does.

Ha! My Sims tend to have skills and not that many friends, but I do prefer Popularity more in the sense that I prefer my Sims to have meaningful relationships over knowledge. Except for, you know, when it doesn’t fit the character.
