The level of musical performance that Chris Sommovigo has arrived at with the Black Cat Cable Coppertone series is simply staggering, especially at a mere $350 a meter. Designing and building audiophile cables at top level prices is not where the real challenge lies. It’s offering top level performance at entry level pricing - that’s a serious challenge. So much so that few cable manufacturers endeavor to achieve this. All the audiophile buzzwords are applicable here. Their detail retrieval capabilities are astounding for this price. There’s a real sense of spaciousness and dimensionality. Timbre is so natural, and that’s where the Coppertone truly shines: The music sounds so natural, so rich and organic, if I didn’t know the cost of these interconnects in advance I would’ve thought they were priced at reference level numbers. They certainly perform at reference level! I can’t offer a higher recommendation. I could live with Coppertone as my main reference without any regrets, and I’ve heard a lot of ridiculously expensive shit. Check them out - you won’t regret it.
