There's a strange familiarity to the situation. A deja vu that makes him feel like he's been here before. In pain and struggling to hold on, the only person on his mind being Victor.
It feels like he's dying.
Why does he know what that feels like?
As he's eased onto the operating table, he lets out a sob, the wracking of his chest causing a spurt of blood to leak out through his fingers. Henry focuses on Victor's voice, trying to breathe through the pain. "I trust you." The words fall out quickly. There's no-one else in the world he trusts this much. He lifts the vial to his lips and knocks it back, desperate for anything to numb the pain. He lies down on the table, curling into himself as he waits. "Why would someone do this - I don't understand." His eyes latch onto Victor. He can feel his body starting to relax, eyes getting heavier. "I love you. I should tell you that - Just in case -" The words trail off into a soft slur, his eyes fluttering shut as the medication takes over.
