New Bane's au
I took long cause i wanted to make things right, like.... with drawings and all. But i started Ruby's comic, plus my ibis paint didn't work last 2 mouths so i'll just start by writting
Still need to find a name
Anyway, here it is ! Only the context though
- CONTEXT OF THE AU -
In this AU, the monsters were sent to the Underground, leaving behind their former world filled with technology and comfort.
The monsters, (confined to the Underground—which was a somewhat enclosed space) very quickly ran out of resources and lived a rather precarious existence.
Of course, they could have found a way to muddle through eventually, as is the case with most of the au, but since they were in a bit of a rush, they found another solution.
Gaster was a scientist, and consequently, he had found a way to restore comfort to the inhabitants. They needed elecricity to regain the technology they once had. All that was required was to build a large power plant, just as humans had done. But there was a problem.
A power plant operates schematically as follows: Energy source → Turbine → Alternator → Electricity.
They only miss the energy source. That's why in this au, there's 3 types of power. Mastering these powers is essential to fueling the what's called 'The machine'. These powers are the energy source, and the machine is a big power plant in the center of the underground, but different from the humans. As for the powers, they are taught, and paid according to the power exercised.
From weakest to strongest, we have
1. Kinetikinesis
It is the easiest to master.
It involves transferring energy to something else—for example, transferring energy from water or wind into the machine. While humans use different types of power plants depending on the resource (wind turbines for wind, nuclear plants for uranium, etc.), this machine performs all of these functions simultaneously in a single location.
Mastery of powers is not yet taught in primary schools; however, instruction in this specific power begins at age eleven. All inhabitants master at least this power, and those who use it professionally receive minimum pay (like a shopkeeper or so)
2. Ergokinesis
This one is a bit harder to learn; it is taught starting at age 16 and can be studied in greater depth in higher education. If a monster make a career out of it, it is the second highest-paid profession (like a doctor for exemple)
While the previous power required an existing energy source to be transferred, ergokinesis allows to generate it from any form of energy. For exemple, a monster could use their own energy to create/transform it into a new one and power the machine, though doing so would exhaust them, as it would be drawing from their OWN energy. There are also a host of other capabilities.
3. Atomokinesis
The stronger one, and hardest to practice.
It can only be taught in higher education after many years of study, and it is the highest-paid profession of all.
It involves the mastery of atoms. Controlling this ability requires total command of scientific knowledge, particularly in physics and chemistry. The power allows the user to control any type of atom, manipulate them, and trigger reactions at will.
In practice, the user can:
• directly create matter (so any object)
• directly create energy (to power a machine or produce the desired result directly, bypassing the machine)
• destroy anything (by manipulating the object's atoms)

Fun facts :
● Someone who does not work in this profession often faces social pressure, as they are considered "useless" or ''not good enough'' —even if they are employed in another role (such as a shopkeeper).
● when someone is 'diplomed' and officialy fully practice an ability, they gain a badge with the logo of the abilitiy (yeah, they have logo but we all know my lazy-ass didn’t drew it yet)
