Location: Maverick’s place (aka the party house)

Allison: Oh my gosh, Xavier?! You made it! [gasps] AND YOU BROUGHT CASS TOO?!

Xavier: Yep.Surprise. And you all look… way more sober than I thought you’d be.

Veronica: Well, the tension’s been high around here tonight.

Maverick: It’s Elijah. He’s been in a mood- he thinks you stole his moment during the goal. 

Xavier: Seriously?

Veronica: Yeah, just look at him…

Maverick: Maybe you two should have a little chat. He needs a reality check and I’ve had a hard time keeping my mouth shut.

Xavier: Nah, I’m not in the mood to deal with that. Let him throw his little fit if that’s what he wants.

Allison: Xavier’s right, we should just ignore him. And now that we’re all here, we should have some fun.

[Xavier takes four shots]

Allison: [laughs] Wow. You’re really committing tonight. You better save some for the rest of us.

Xavier: Go ahead. I’m done.

Allison: [pauses] Are you good?

Xavier: Ask me again when the alcohol hits.

Allison: Okay… drinking like this isn’t your thing and now you’re snippy so something’s definitely up. Spill it.

[Across the house, Cassius is talking to classmates; sfx: music and indistinct chatter]

Xavier: …The girls have really got his attention tonight, huh?

Allison: I already told you that he’s popular with- hold up. You’re trying to dodge my question, aren’t you? I see your game.
