Recently watched Event Horizon (1997) for the first time and the design of the gravity drive and the room it's in reminded me of Robo's reaction to that evil quantum computer so I made a little comic of it
I'm admittedly a little behind in Atomic Robo, but I thing I loved about that book is that include enough internal ideas for entirely separate comics.
Such as the Nicodemus Job, a heist story based in 1090s Constantinople...
Or the two storylines involving the She-Devils of the Pacific, a squadron of female pilots in post-WW2 Pacific getting their Talespin on fighting air pirates and fascist holdouts. Their non-Atomic Robo related story, is effectively "what if Fury Road, but in the sky?". Tons of fun.
Short version: Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener's work on Atomic Robo and Real Science Adventures is great, and I wishe folk talked about it more. :)
