In ‘The Trap,’ French photographer Vincent Desailly documents the culture around Atlanta's homegrown hip-hop sub-genre, trap. Desailly doesn't glamorize or editorialize. His photographs capture musicians, strip clubs, dealers, guns, drugs, home interiors, outdoor spaces and ordinary people just hanging out. "When I think about trap I think about something raw," "Trap God" Gucci Mane is quoted in the book's introduction. "Something that hasn't been diluted. Something with no polish on it.
