spoilt and carefree is one of the reasons that guglielmo does not want to get married. he worries that he’ll have to give up his comfy life to go live somewhere else. 

but he does usually manage to talk his way ( in and ) out of things, so he hopes that he will be able to work things out. or perhaps he can make his way through everything with jokes — which is his usual coping mechanism.

definitely lives by boys will be boys, though that is mostly because his parents often used it to cover for him. if there was anything that guglielmo had done wrong then it was nothing that couldn’t be fixed by a few hail marys. 

still, he doesn’t often take responsibility and is quick to place the blame on somebody else when things are not going the way he wants. 

now that he is getting older, he is trying to place some of these traits behind him. he wants to make sure that he can make his marriage work for italy.

That being said, she takes her job extremely seriously, and is known to have an incredible work ethic. 

She has a number of gardens where she grows vegetables, fruits, and flowers and gives them to charity.

She’s extremely sensitive, and her sisters are pretty much used to the sight of her crying over something.

The latest source of tears? This whole Greece matchmaking thing. She’s UPSET that she’s not getting to choose her own future spouse. She was under the impression that she’d get to marry a Frenchman of her choosing, and they’d live out in the country and have a peaceful life. 

She does NOT want to leave France to marry someone else...whooo boy. 

Ellis is the oldest of four, and the crown prince of Denmark. He’s the only son of the late Queen Freja as she passed during childbirth due to complications.

His father raised him as a single parent until Ellis was about two or so, when the king met the woman who will become El’s stepmother. 

To him it was great to have a mother who would play with him, and everything like that.

His father and stepmother got married when he was about four, than three years later when he was seven, he gained twin little brothers.

In the beginning he didn’t really like the idea of having siblings, but once the twins were born Ellis was over the moon, and wanting to know when he could play with them. It didn’t hurt that having the twins made his parents, especially his stepmother smile more.

Kinda thought he’ll just have two little brothers. Poor boy was in for a shock.

When he was eleven his third little brother, Silas was born.

Ellis was a bit more upset about it, not because he didn’t like the thought of having another sibling, but because he wouldn’t get a chance to meet him until he came back home on a break from boarding school.

The moment he met Silas however, he pretty much quickly bonded with the him and was always just making sure he happy, and mostly just protected him as much as he could.

Flash forward a couple of years when he was eighteen and joining the Danish Defense. He’s been apart of it for a little over 12 years, before he was being discharged from service.

He was 30 years old when he was honorarily discharged, due to the fact that during a mission he was ambushed and lost his left arm.

When he came home from the army, it was like he was a ghost in the castle for the first few months, and then he disappeared.

Ellis ended up purchasing a farm, and so for the next three years before arriving in Greece, his time was split between his royal duties and taking care of said farm along with his animals. 

As mentioned above he did lose his left arm, and now has a prosthetic. He wears it daily, but some times he tends to just leave it off. That’s mostly to give his shoulder a bit of a break, since that’s where the prosthetic rests.

Now onto the whole news of divorce bit.

He knew that his mother and father have been fighting, since it’s been a thing ever since Silas was born, but it’s mostly be behind closed doors and where no one could hear what is being said.

Ellis just tended to steer his little brothers away from the fighting, well as much as he could. He also never really asked why they were fighting, since all he got the first time he asked was a sigh and a shaken head.

After that, he just let it be and just focused on his duties. his brothers, and his education, later his military training and everything.

Wasn’t all that surprised when his father and mother said they were getting a divorce, however he was more worried about what would happen to his brothers and everything.

Ellis doesn’t want to lose his brothers or anything, nor would he actually let it happen if he can help it.

Now onto the last bit, aka the whole arranged marriage bit.

He’s actually terrified of the whole thing, like yeah he was a bit scared when he was in the military, but this a whole different thing.

Also, is afraid of how his betrothed will react when they learn that he lost his arm and everything.

I’m sorry to his future betrothed, but in the beginning he’s gonna think of it as a military operation, however give him time to actually wrap his head around everything and he’ll become a bit more charming.

I say a bit because he’s a mess, and doesn’t actually know how to charm anyone? But I promise you, he is a sweetheart and will always make sure you are okay.

However, you also need to realize that he puts his brothers before anyone and anything. It’s been that way ever since the twins were born and everything.

Onto the fun thing, Connections:

prince thomas, heir to the throne of switzerland, duke of zürich, is the firstborn child of the king of switzerland and his first wife. therefore the responsibility of ruling has always been at the forefront of his mind — fully prepared to rule, as well as be married off for the benefit of his country.

while his father comes from a long noble line, his mother was a member of staff in the family’s household, and the two caused quite a scandal for the family. it was only when she became pregnant that the pair were married to save any further ‘embarrassment’ to  the soon-to-be king.

tw: miscarriage. this baby was lost, and placed strain on the marriage. the family didn’t like his mother already so this was another thing that they blamed her for. still, when she became pregnant again ( several years later ) and produced a healthy son, some favour was restored — mostly to the marriage. his mother loved him deeply, but also understood that by putting thomas into the primary care of his grandmother ( and father ) that he would be protected.

tw: religion. catholic boy™, from his education to his duties as a royal, the religion was forced upon thomas from birth. his grandmother followed most of the old school rules, which led to him having a similar — still, he doesn’t follow the book word-for-word ( well, at least now he is older ) because there are certain aspects that he doesn’t agree with.

there was no homeschooling or private tutors for thomas, who was sent off to boarding school at around age six, the same time his mother became pregnant with his younger sister. it was something he was initially upset about, yet eventually it allowed him to find some independence from the family, and develop friendships away from royal life. he developed a sense of what was going on in his country – not only through his lessons, but the people that he encountered. this was supplemented by royal duties he had to undertake.

being away from home meant that thomas was not aware of the marital issues of his parents, though as he got older, it was obvious that things were not all peachy in the royal household. whilst it didn’t fix anything between his parents, thomas became even closer to his mother through the lack of communication from the other family members. between himself and his sister, they were able to make sure that their mother did not feel so lonely. still, it did not stop their father from having an affair, or prevent the hurt that it caused the queen.

the childhood that he had made him very self-disciplined; comfortable in his position and kept him willing to faithfully serve until his time comes to lead. this provided him with patience and seriousness, but he is not completely cold. there is empathy towards his subjects, and attempts to assist; his own personal life is closed off in comparison. aside from that, thomas has pretty good judgement and will evaluate everything before making a rash decision.

tw: suicide. nine years ago, thomas went to visit his mother ( who had been sent to zermatt to recover from royal duties ) though she was unaware of the visit, believing her son was still in university. upon his arrival, he was told that his mother was resting, but that he could surprise her by awaking her. it was when he entered the room that he realised something wasn’t right — eventually finding his mother, who had taken her own life.

for the sake of appearances, the death was ruled as a heart-attack, though the family knew otherwise — something that angered thomas greatly, as it felt almost dismissed, with his father rushing into the arms of his lover. the prince showed great empathy to his subjects during this time, especially those who respected his mother. it earned him favour, though took its toll mentally.

tw: drug abuse. to get himself through the final months of university ( as well as royal duties ) his doctors prescribed sleeping pills as he was unable to sleep. there weren’t many side effects, if anything, thomas felt amazing once he’d taken his pills and had a ( somewhat ) peaceful nights sleep. it was only when he was taken off them that he realised that he had become dependent to them; unable to fall asleep without them. his doctors decided to wean him off them slowly, among several different attempts to get him to ditch the pills. though the prince continued to quit several times, he found himself back on the pills relatively quickly, and using unconventional ways to get them.

ok so astra is a middle child and the only girl in between her siblings. though she had always loved her family and her country, she felt out of place. (that typical whiny ‘i don’t waNnA BE A pRinCess i just wanna be noRMaL’ cliche y’all)

she’s very free spirited. hates following rules, plans and orders.

her greatest passion is painting, ever since she was little. you will find her fingers stained more often than not. blue is astra’s favourite colour.

her rebel side started to make appearances when one of her tutors insulted her interest for arts when she could invest much more of her time in her studies. from then, she decided to be whoever she wanted to be.

she often escapes the official drivers to ride her blue vespa, much to the crown’s dismay.

enjoys strong scotch and very cold beer.

smokes three cigarettes per day. she enjoys entitling herself as the most healthy smoker out there. she’s ridiculous.

has a long list of past flings and boyfriends she had never really taken seriously. astra sees her relationships as adventures and when they are no longer adventurous... well, you know.

even though she stays more on the quiet side, she can be very charismatic when she wants/needs to. that granted her numerous connections and friends around the world.

actually very into politics and it’s studies

she did accept to get married for her country’s sake, and for her security as well even though being queen is far from what she had ever planned.

she can be very sceptical and has trouble trusting people, but is also very loyal once you’ve gotten to her heart.

she’s an aquarius. she enjoys parties even though her favourite sound is silence. seems to be confident but has never actually thought to be enough for anything, or anyone. doesn’t know how to swim and has a phobia of the sea. likes to dance. and sing, in the shower. *rolling eyes emoji mood 24/7*

born in arbroath, scotland to the ( at the time ) crown princess of scotland and her husband, the former prince of venezuela. they decided to name their son after the region, but raised him in edinburgh to be closer to him maternal family. 

tw: divorce/religion. his parent divorced when he was only two and it was quite the scandal as the family were catholics. angus used the divorce as an excuse to act out and get up to mischief from a young age.

custody remained with his mother though he would see his father when possible, usually visiting venezuela during his holidays.

from both sides he has siblings and he adores them all. 

typical prince. full of charm and undying loyalty, but also raised with a silver spoon in his mouth. making him arrogant about his abilities, stubborn to a tee, and impulsive when it comes to his personal life. 

more patriotic than you. works hard for his country, and takes being crown prince very seriously. even has his own charity which he spends a lot of time advocating for.

prefers to be forthright and honest in his opinions ( without trying to be malice ) though some people think he is just being fiery through past experiences. 

graduated from the university of st andrews with a degree in law; he also completed several courses in economics. following this he was sent to train in the military and became captain during his time serving.

third born child of the spanish royal family; making him neither the heir, nor the spare.

he wasn’t exactly ignored by his parents, but he wasn’t prized like his eldest sibling. neither was he babied like the youngest one. 

still, being overlooked benefited eduardo as it gave him the freedom that some of his other siblings didn’t have. something he took advantage of — particularly in his teenage years. 

his education was mostly undertook at catholic boarding schools in spain, followed by university and a year studying abroad in england. his major was economics ( something that has always interested him ) and is considering furthering his education at some point. 

straight out of education, his father arranged a carefully regulated and structured plan for eduardo to receive military training — eventually landing him in the air force, where he was promoted to captain before being shipped off to greece.

when the arrangement between spain and england was made, he became valuable to his parents due to his impending marriage being to the crown princess. however, he does not wish to leave spain behind and slightly resents the people around him for that.

has a keen interest in renaissance architecture and tried to visit famous structures whenever he could. he is all for immersing himself in different cultures and surroundings, and learning something new.
