It was Leeland's weekend with Jasmine, and this was the perfect excuse to ask Lee why he didn't tell her about his engagement to Anna. It bothered her that everyone else knew about it except for her. Moving some hair from her face, she knocked on the door to his office.
Leeland pushed all of his papers aside, getting ready to wrap up for the day, when he heard the knock at the door. He hoped it was Athena with Jasmine, so he called her in with a smile on his face.

Sniffling excessively from her crying while also trying to calm down her fussy daughter, Athena didn't know where to go. It was late at night, probably past midnight, and desperately needed a place to stay for the night. So, she wound up at Leeland's door. She wiped her eyes, which proved fruitless because the tears kept flowing, and knocked loudly on the door.

Leeland had suggested to Anna to spend the weekend at her parent's house, hoping that would help her recover some. But he wasn't hopeful. He knew it would have to be something she does on her own....though that thought only pained him. But because she was gone, he couldn't really sleep, so he was up with a fresh pot of coffee. If only he still was drinking....
The knock at his door surprised him. Who could it be at this hour? He got his crutches and hobbled to the door. Opening it, he was surprised to see Athena and his daughter. "A-Athena!" She looked like a mess. What happened?... "Come in." He stepped aside so she could enter.
Athena wasn't happy. She was livid. This was completely unacceptable, and she knew this was going to happen. With Jasmine in her carrier, the blonde mother knocked roughly on Leeland's office door, her tongue bit to stop her from saying the wrong thing.
Leeland was hobbling around his office, searching for the document he needed. It wasn't in that folder....or that book....or in that pile.... So when there was a knock on his door, he jumped in surprise. Who was it that was bothering him now? He opened the door, surprised to see Athena there. "Ah...Theenie...What are you doing here?" He looked down to see Jasmine, smiling as he saw her bubbly face. "Why hello there beautiful..."
