Only myself.” “So you have.” Drifting close to her ear, Atekka’s voice disarms her, breaking low through the agitated clamor. The shift in proximity brings on a shiver that has nothing to do with the balm. “And so you are, Ritakka.”

Ritakka earns new ink after her squad returns from their scouting expedition to the Burning Shores. Renewed doubt comes to the surface.
