“Okay, was that seriously the best that Halloweentown had to offer? Because I wasn’t scared like, the entire time we were in there, it was so lame!” Mary Kate scoffed with a shake of her head as she and Noa exited the haunted house. She hadn’t meant to end up spending the afternoon hanging out with him, but as always seemed to happen when he was around, she’d found her way to his side. She’d suggested the haunted house because it had seemed easier than doing something where she might have to talk about how weird she’d been acting towards him lately, but the entire thing had been underwhelming. Not wanting to give him time to tease her about her terrible choice of activities, Mary Kate wracked her brain for something else to do that was more their speed, a mischievous smile on her face as she thought of something. “Okay, so this isn’t me hitting on you,” she prefaced, “But do you want to get out here? I heard the lighthouse down at Belle’s Harbor might be haunted, and like everyone’s at the festival right now, this could be our one chance to explore.”

This day might have started off as a total date for him and Will, but the second Blake had seen Andy’s face after she’d exited the corn maze, he knew that his friend needed him more. He’d given Will a quick kiss good-bye before chasing after Andy, who’d looked more in a daze than he thought he’d ever seen her before. Blake still hadn’t quite gotten the whole story out of her, but he had gathered that things with Scarlett had gone south, and quickly. He’d tried wheeling her around to as many different places as he could until finally they’d stopped in front of the petting zoo, and her face seemed to light up for the first time all day as she petted the baby goats. He had to admit, the things were pretty fricking cute, and a mischievous grin spread across his face as he whispered into Andy’s ear, “Wanna steal one?” 

Peyton loved October. It was usually the time of year when play auditions were happening, or better yet, when rehearsals were ramping up, but more than that, there was something magical about the weather changing, the different colors of the leaves, and the days ticking closer and closer to Halloween, when for a night they were all actors. The fall festival just felt like a magical prelude to one of her favorite holidays, and she’d been having a completely magical day, trying on knick-knacks and potential costume pieces from the vendors. She’d just bought what she thought would be an excellent addition to her costume this year and was on her way to find Kaz to show it to him when thunder cracked through the sky, and wind whipped her hair in every direction imaginable. Peyton squeaked nervously; she hadn’t even noticed the thunderstorm creeping up, but she hated them, absolutely hated them, and she took off at a run, trying to make a beeline for the first cover she could find before the rain could start to pour. “What are you doing just standing there?” she called over her shoulder as she bumped into someone, not taking notice who it was. “Come on, we’ve got to get somewhere before this storm hits, it sounds like it’s going to be awful!”

Rachel knew she didn’t have to wear a costume to go to the fall festival, but everything about it felt so fun and Halloweeny that she just couldn’t resist getting started on the holiday first. That, and the fact that the tourney team had talked about all dressing on theme together, had led Rachel to need to wear the donut costume she’d been so excited to buy over the summer a little early, and she had donned it proudly as she had walked into the event and headed in the direction of the pumpkin patch. Her plan was to start the day by meeting the perfect pumpkin friend to take back to her dorm with her, but she hadn’t made it very far when her eyes lit up at the sight of a person dressed as a chocolate donut not far away. She skipped up to them excitedly, her face lighting up when she realized it was Leo. “Oh my gosh, I had no idea you were a donut too! I’m strawberry sprinkle, are you just regular chocolate or does your icing have a little something extra in it?” Rachel asked her long-time friend brightly, already trying to reach around her donuty bits to pull her phone out of her pocket for a picture. 

It was officially Fall time and Addy could not had been happier. It was her favorite season after all. It was though she was like a kid in a candy store when it came to the chilly season. There was nothing she loved more than the cool crisp air and the tastes of powered donuts and apple cider and the sounds of leaves being crunched whenever someone walked. This was her first Autumn season with Jace as her boyfriend, so she was excited for their first full season of seasonal festivities together. She zipped up her leather brown jacket and adjusted her scarf before looking at the line for the hayride. A personal favorite of Addy’s. The blonde turned and gave a big grin to Jace before extending her hand for him to take. “Come on Jace, we have to get a seat on the hayride, especially since I’ve been waiting since last Fall for this.”
