Un'immagine "Blue Marble"(*) del nostro pianeta simile alla prima scattata dall'Apollo 17 più di 40 anni fa.
Questa foto è stata realizzata da Suomi NPP,un satellite di osservazione, con lo strumento VIIRS (Visible/Infrared Imager Radiometer Suite) ricomponendo una serie di fotogrammi scattati il 4 gennaio scorso. Il sito della NASA la mette a disposizione a una risoluzione altissima.
