ah, True Positivity Hours!! while i can just ramble about like. characters in general i’ll go for specific portrayals tho i’ll try not to clog up notifs by trying to avoid @-ing them 

@/cavaliant’s diarmuid is a joy unto this earth. i can’t sing this muse enough praises honestly. the amount of thought dusk has put into him. diarmuid is often a character people say has no personality whatsoever but dusk really does go into the lines we get, reads between them, and looks at things from a scope beyond just “what does this character say” and thinks about what his relationships say about him, his actions, etc. i live for looking at character development beyond the words explicitly shared, and i now stan diarmuid so thanks dusk LMAO. i just think it’s interesting to see this charming boy and his tendency to be nice to people, what it means to him and the self-sacrifice he goes by burying his feelings, etc. really gives me a newfound appreciation for his scenes.

@/hamartio’s hector takes you through the evolution of a character throughout time. you feel the boisterousness that means well in hector’s teenage years to the way he mellows out and how that’s a direct consequence of fatherhood and him rising up to the plate as the new marquess. it’s always cool to see, and equinox has fantastic metas on hector’s growth and what taking armads means for the lord and his motivations for doing so. this is a man who so deeply cares for others, even if it means accepting a curse, and i love every time equinox talks about it and explores it! also equinox really does take a great look at fatal flaws and tragic heroes which is [chef’s kiss]

@/drakslay’s marth is extremely fun to read! as someone who doesn’t know much about the archanea games, ( i promise everyone i’ve got fe11 and will pick it up again at some point LIKE I REALLY WANT TO... ) it’s super compelling to read their posts despite my lack of knowledge! soji’s got a way to take even looking at a hypothetical beach marth alt as interesting by tying it back to the archanea games’ worldbuilding and plot! that’s so cool!! i also think marth’s dialogue in soji’s posts is so charming?? from what i know about how marth speaks, it really captures his voice. i already do enjoy marth from what little i saw of him in fe11, and i look forward to liking him more and more!

@/sacredseals’s narcian is something to truly commend. how tf did nora get me to feel things about this man I DON’T KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED !!! except sike i in fact know exactly how it happened. nora’s narration and metas ( whether they’re posted publicly or not ) really dive deep into the nitty-gritty of little details in fe6 we’re given and expand them in such cool ways, and it really makes me surprisingly soft for this villain that you’re intended to despise and find pathetic. also, nora’s voice for narcian’s dialogue is so fun and colorful to read! nora u may not have english as ur first language but you are KILLING it!!!

  “ i'm not making a sad face. ”  she was, but she tries to mask it with a pout. after all, a look of petulance was much cuter than a look of melancholy, wasn't it?

besides, larum truly believed she couldn't feel sad when around the person she thought she loved most. wasn't that how the stories went? when you were with the object of your affections, you feel as if you are walking on clouds, as if nothing could go wrong because that person was the pillar of light in your darkness.

but the stories were wrong. she feels that sorrow etch itself into her. she feels her loneliness more keenly with every time the lord reproaches her, avoids her affections, and makes it clear that he does not love her like she loved him.

she's not even sure if he likes her. to be fair, this was all a fantasy to her. she thought she could be happy enough just by experiencing this kind of love. she knows she loved him, that she's happy to bear these feelings, but as the botched encounters go up, as roy proves himself more and more, larum realizes cherishing a one-sided love wasn't enough.

deep-down in her heart, she wishes she could be loved too. going to hug roy so she could experience what it was to embrace someone she adored didn't hold that same euphoria anymore; now it was twisted with the dawning realization of how she would never be hugged back, she would never see him smile for her, and the ache of wanting grows more poignant when that person is in your arms — so close yet so far away.  

but even as the loneliness bleeds from her heart into her face, she knows what would make it worse would be to make roy frown not because of her but for her. she knows that her wish as a performer was to be able to make her audience feel what she felt, but this is the one emotion she does not want to pass on — not to roy, the boy who made her heart skip. after all, who would fall in love with someone who just made you feel sad?

she turns herself around, obscuring her face. take a bold stance, hands on her hips, chin up, looking tall. she's intent upon making every limb in her body communicate the cheer she does not feel, and she injects as much cheer into her voice as she can.  “ i'm just... i've got a lot of thoughts in my head! like how i'm gonna make my next dance the absolute bestest for cheering up people! it's hard work, you know, thinking up stuff like that. but i won't give up, nuh-uh! ”

there are many people who go through these libraries, but most went for the historical or fiction texts. hugh had carved out his own corner in what was once raigh's playground, but for what?

evidently, hugh didn't want him to know.

“ you're still upset about that? how idiotic. just give up. ”  focus on more important things — these are the words that never quite make it out of raigh's head before he scoffs.  “ you'll never get an apology out of me, and you know it. ”

he takes that moment to seize one of the books at hugh's side, not quite confident enough in his sticky fingers to take the one that's currently in the mage's hands, before turning his back and opening to a random page. a familiar passage comes to him, confirming that these weren't texts from a different area of the library.  “ hmph. so you ARE in the right section... ”

   “ ...! i... ”  turning and seeing the man she loved dressed to wed... how could thea be anything but rendered temporarily speechless by the sight? she thinks she heard herself gasp quietly; she certainly hope she doesn't look dumb, awestruck when her partner was looking as handsome as ever. his smiles were already enough to banish any doubt and fear she may have held so that she could enter battlefields at her best, but the pink dusting his cheeks was a welcome sight too even if — or perhaps because — it made her heart flutter.

“ i think... um, you look very... fetching... ”  she can hear her voice growing quiet in her shyness. her fingers wound tightly around the bow she has been allowed to borrow as she tries to find her volume once more.  “ more than that, if i am to wear this dress, i am glad you went out of your way to don that suit. ”

and for that, she finds herself able to cast away her shyness somewhat to return his smile with a bashful one of her own, her own blush matching the flowers that decorate her gown and weapon both.

   “ you are nothing if not persistent. ”  for once in a long, long time, he speaks such words without the edge that has taken him ever since his father's death. after all, persistence is what drives him towards his own goals. but there is only so much persistence alone can do.

guinivere is still naive if she believes that clinging to such conviction alone shall be enough. the people of bern may see her as a fully grown woman, but to zephiel, he still sees her as a child.

it is his duty as her older brother then to correct that.

“ guinivere, you contradict yourself. need i remind you it is you who left me, stealing away the fire emblem? ”  his gaze appraises her, but he does not grant her the time to speak.  “ that itself is a sign that you have given up on me. ”

still, despite that, he forgives her. perhaps that shall be his gravest mistake. he has forgiven too much in this lifetime to know all it gives you is poison in your mouth.
