I don’t think or talk about it much, but every once in a while I realise how much trauma I have from being asthmatic
I was like a 5-6 year old kid, waking up in the middle of the night coughing so hard I couldn’t breathe
I was a young child having to use my inhaler before bed every night so I wouldn’t get seriously hurt because my lungs don’t work how they’re supposed to
It’s better now but I still have to have my inhaler with me all the time, just in case
I still don’t feel like I’m getting enough air and have to take in a deep breath frequently
I still start crying when I see realistic asthma attacks in shows
I’m still afraid to run or play sports or do things that would make it harder for me to breathe
I hate it
I hate having asthma
Just had the realization that my lungs have been sounding worse since I stopped this respiratory supplement I was taking for a while
I got it impulsively when I got bronchitis again, I ran out of the supplement about a week and a half ago, and now I’m sounding wheezier and have the bronchitis-sounding cough again
I think I just have to go back to using my nebulizer more frequently, I forget to use it most of the time
struggling 2 breathe, light-headed, wheezing & shaking like a leaf in the wind: "do my breathing problems make me sexier?"
