Just got back from urgent care. I was convinced I picked up some kind of con crud at Anime Riverside this past weekend because I have felt like absolute garbage for the last few days. Exhausted, miserable, short of breath, the whole nine yards. Turns out I’m not sick after all.
I’ve actually been having an asthma attack. For. Three. Days. And before anyone asks: no, I do not have a rescue inhaler right now. Which probably explains why I’ve been feeling like I got hit by a truck and then backed over for good measure.
So instead of recovering from a fun convention weekend, I’m now dealing with the realization that my lungs have apparently been trying to stage a rebellion this entire time. This fucking sucks.
On the bright side, at least I finally know why I’ve been feeling so awful. On the downside, breathing is apparently one of those things you really notice when it stops cooperating.

We need to teach more people what to do if someone has an asthma attack. Luke just the pure give them space basics. Cause I just had one and I was coughing like crazy and one of my friends responded by patting me (very hard) on the back and telling me to breath. Suffice to say it did not help at all and I feel like we just need to teach people things like this.
