I play for a [redacted sport] semi-professional team, and last year after S4 I had a replica jersey for my team made with "Astankova" on the back. It was my tribute to Villanelle. It's a beautiful jersey and I wear it all the time, but without fail every time I wear it, someone asks me whose jersey it is. I didn't think people would notice, thought it would be my comfort thing, but they did.
Sometimes I want to explain the grief and the pride that motivated me to have this jersey made, but it doesn't make sense to talk about this TV show to a random stranger. Usually I just say, "Oh, it's a friend", or "Nobody".
That makes me sad. What would you say?
