nobody is talking about why asleep methods actually work.
so, i've noticed that everyone always emphasises how methods themselves don't make you shift and that it all comes down to you, but what i haven't really seen is anyone actually breaking down the possible spiritual mechanics behind asleep methods specifically. so here's my take on that. this is my own hypothesis built from spiritual work. i've touched on pieces of it before but i want to go deeper here. i'm not telling you what to do, i'm just offering my perspective on how i believe this process works and why.
so, how do asleep methods actually work?
asleep methods are the hazier, less tangible side of shifting. they rely on expectation and a kind of reciprocal relationship with your subconscious and spiritual self to carry you across. it's the act of planting an intuition in the unseen and then holding the truth that you'll wake up in your desired reality.
and no, you're not supposed to feel crystal clear about this. that's actually the entire point. when you lose conscious awareness and slip into sleep everyday, you release all control. that's what separates asleep methods from awake methods. the moment you fall asleep you let go of the wheel and it becomes dependent on your trust and your internal willingness. asleep methods aren't about staying watchful or hyperaware. they're about entering sleep and delivering a message for your subconscious to receive.
now let's go deeper.
the moment you fall asleep carrying an affirmation to awaken in your desired reality, that intention has already been set. nothing more, nothing less. you are the controller and observer of your reality, and even when it feels like nothing happened, the intention was still placed. that part is inevitable and the same for every single shifter.
but here's the thing. that affirmation then travels into the hidden, blurry landscape of your subconscious. because of that you won't know how well it was received until you actually wake up, whether that's in your intended reality or back here. either way the intention was still set and there is genuinely no such thing as failure in this context.
there's no "correct" way to set an intention. a thought itself is an intention.
what determines where you wake up is the trust you hold in yourself, or the lack of strain your putting on yourself in expecting a specific outcome. and yes, this works even when you have many doubts, because your higher self operates spiritually not logically. it's detached from your ego. when you set the intention, trust that a higher boundless part of you is receiving it and orchestrating it into your desires. this is what others call the wish fulfilled, just in different words.
hold an intention and have the trust in the expectation of arrival.
whatever intention is believed in the most is what solidifies into reality past the threshold of sleep. this happens every single night, with or without shifting. if an intention is set but wrapped in a lack of trust, insecurity or desperation, the reality that hardens when you wake is the familiar one. whatever holds the most weight at the point of crossing is what gets physically built on the other side. so don't fall asleep with a "let's see what happens" energy. fall asleep trusting your spiritual abilities to wake you up in your dr. the transformation is already in motion. fall asleep with the wish fulfilled and feel it. then it's important to surrender. it's upsetting but sometimes even after a night of genuine intention felt you may wake up back here. not because nothing happened, the energy has been sent regardless.
in order to shift through sleep there is a surrender, both intentional and subconscious. every single time you fall asleep you surrender all awareness regardless. so during asleep methods, take that a step further and surrender from your identity on this physical plane. allow and trust that when you wake past the threshold you are connected with another version of yourself. almost like a transition machine that allows you to awaken in the same self, just expressed through a transformed reality. and that is what manifests. that is what you observe.
note. this isn't why asleep methods are better over awake methods. both work in fundamentally different ways. this isn't law this is just my personal views. always do your own research and discoveries!
