She had been watching them for a few nights now, night after night, as they traversed through the city, finding a new scene of-for  them-inexplicable gore each night. She knew what the crimes they were tracking were about, of course, though she had not been part of it. She saw no need to murder humans to feed, not when blood was so easy to come by these days, but she was one of the few who had decided to go with the times. Most of her kind were sadly dinosaurs, the blonde sighed wistfully, not for the first time, attached to ways that were as outdated as the Middle Ages. In their defense, several of them were as old as that, if not older, even.

Tonight, she kept to the very edge of the gathered crowd, held back with the familiar police tape, watching the proceedings with mild disinterest.She cared nothing for the murders themselves, she’d seen her share of death over the years and she had been around for a long while as well. Her interest, though she couldn’t really tell why that was, lay on the brown haired forensic artist who seemed to be present in every crime scene, though she knew they’d never get a decent enough description for him to use his talents on.

Lily has horrible sleep habits. She usually stays up for a couple nights in a row before eventually conking out; this is usually to avoid nightmares for as long as possible.      It’s also because she feels like that time could be used to do something more productive-she’s a workaholic, in a sense. 

These creatures.

They were everything that was wrong with the world; or  rather, the mage thought, to be exact, they were what had made the world go wrong in the first place.

Raethor’s  eyes glinted like chips of ice as he spotted his quarry; she might not look much like most of her peers he’d encountered before,but that was not unusual. The blasted Naga, he knew, came in more than one varieties, depending on how the ancient magic had made them.

It didn’t change the fact they were monsters and traitors, in any case. 

The mage smiled darkly, a cage of fire used to contain the creature he’d spotted a few minutes earlier within its confines.

He’d never seen the like of it before, though, to be fair, there was much he had yet to see and explore in these lands. As it were, this would appear to be a being of frost, the mage having found it mostly because of his own affinity with that element.

The fact he was curious was the only reason he hadn’t just used his cage of fire to crush...her, he noted now as he drew nearer for a closer look. The creature was obviously, as far as he could tell, female.

The healer watched the other woman closely, though she tried not to make her attention too obvious. She seemed...perfectly ordinary, sitting there, at the cafe, minding her own business, a book open before her, a steaming cup of coffee next to it.

And yet...the doctor felt a strangeness, a curious sensation coming off her. It was a familiar feeling, of sorts.I It was one she couldn’t very easily ignore, she thought, even as she drew level to the other’s table and took the seat across from her. Given the nature of her own power, she could sense something different here, yes.Something to keep in the back of her mind, surely.

4. Is there anything that makes them snap faster?

Nightshade in any verse is extremely difficult to piss off. In fact, I’m not even sure you can piss her off. She gets upset, sure, but not angry to the point she ‘snaps’ or lashes out.

Axel is a bit of a wild canon, at least in the Mainverse. Depending on his mood, some days the trigger is paper thin and some days, it’s almost impossible to ruin his day. The fastest way to grind his gears is to give off the impression you know something about his past with Ketele (but that’s also probably the fastest way to get killed). He won’t care at all about insults thrown his way and shrugs it all off.

Human!Axel or any other AU where Axel isn’t a psychopath, where he’s more jaded and chill, is also extremely difficult to poke at. He’s also not one to be bothered by insults directed at him. The one thing that might piss him off would be insults or genuine threats towards the people he cares about. That’s something he won’t ignore.

Samhain on the other hand is prone to snapping, levels of restraint depends on the situation and AU. There are times where he bottles it up, if he doesn’t find a proper outlet to vent out his frustrations, even the smallest thing can trigger an outburst. It could range from not being able to save someone from a dangerous situation, not getting his latest potion right, witnessing or hearing awful news and unable to make himself useful or help. Doesn’t matter what the trigger is, it’s just a matter of piling up the small irritations and ‘breaking the camel’s back’ if not dealt with properly.

Dark!Samhain on the other hand seems to be in a constant state of anger and spite. It’s even possible to say that such energies fuel him at this point. The smallest annoyances can set him into a foul mood, and this worsens if the unlucky soul crosses his path while in a warmer climate (Dark!Samhain hates the heat). He absolutely despises rude, obnoxious and very loud humans (though this extends to spirits and mythos as well but especially humans).

12. Do they have any sort of visceral reaction to violence?

When witnessing or experiencing violence, Samhain’s immediate response is fight but more specifically to defend both himself and any innocent passers-by. In his line of work, Samhain is used to violent reactions of all kinds whether directed at him personally or at others. He deals with monsters of all shapes and sizes, and malevolent spirits all who usually have harmful intent.

No matter how long she’s been doing the job, unlike Samhain, Nightshade still physically winces when witnessing acts of terrible violence. The kind of acts brutal enough to cause bleeding or gore. When surrounded by too much, she’ll try to look away and might even feel a little ill. Nightshade hates violence and her first instinct is to evade and flee rather than return an attack. She also has very protective instincts but has very different methods compared to Samhain.
