OOOOOO THIS ITS SO INTERESTING.

i have a lot of feelings with this question, one bc after so many years I think sid has answered every single question you can imagine, and that means he answers a lot of the same (what went wrong with the game, are you happy with the win, what could improve, is his knee feeling okay etc etc), and i think as a sports journalist you have to ask those things after a game, no matter how boring the answer might be.

This morning I came across that small paragraph on how sid answers media but doesn't really say anything, he never gives out anything out of the ordinary bc he has nailed that pr persona so well (and i guess it comes easy given he has been doing interviews since he was a CHILD), so i don't think I have questions i would like he wouldn't get asked, but rather, I wish he would get such a good question he could answer it without a pre-made answer already made in his head. and you may ask me, okay but a question like what? and i don't have an answer for it! I think the closest we ever got was when he said the famous "i don't like any guy on that team" quote.

Hank, and it's not even close. Like - on one hand, I do think he's a great character who fits his role in the plot perfectly. Dean Norris plays him with a lot of charm. I'm often entertained by Hank, and the show wouldn't be the same without him. So it's not that I think the show would be better without him - he's a vital part of it.

But he's a very accurate picture of a racist, sexist cop, and that's not the kind of character I'm going to ever have any affection for. And the thing that frustrates me about Hank is that while he is such an accurate embodiment of a certain kind of loathsome person, he is often treated by the narrative as a hero, which he very emphatically, to me, is not. Even in his most "heroic" moment taking down Walt - one of the reasons that whole thing goes south is because Hank cared more about preserving his career and his ego than he did about stopping Walt, which is why he didn't have any backup. That was a HUGE fuck-up on his part that allows Walt to get away and it negates anything heroic about the situation

I hate how they give him a Latino partner to laugh at his racist jokes to make his blatant racism seem more toothless - just a rough-around-the-edges kinda guy! And I know it makes sense for plot reasons for Jesse to not press charges against him and therefore he doesn't face any legal trouble over it, but it is bizarre to me that he can break into a citizen's home and beat them almost to death and receive zero consequences. Or I guess I should say that doesn't surprise me at all since that happens all the time, but it's not portrayed as a disgusting miscarriage of justice that Hank gets away with it, but actually as a good thing because he's really sorry and won't do it again, and it would be a shame for such a good cop to lose his job, since he's needed to fight the REAL bad guys. It's just so gross.

25. If your soul was a color, what would it be?

I think if my soul had a color it would be baby pink with maybe a smidge of black in one corner. When I think of happiness I think of baby pink and I’m a happy person in general so that’s why that color. But the smidge of black would represent the darkness I have in my mind where everything isn’t rainbows, sunshine, and happiness and even know though the darkness can sometimes overtake everything that’s not all I am and it took me a long time to realize that.

I know the wild era is your favorite, so I'll do them! :D But I'll probably mostly focus on TOTK/post-TOTK since that's my favorite "version" of them, if that makes sense lol.

🎂  How do they celebrate each other's birthdays?

Oooh I feel like they both go to extreme lengths to make big plans! Zelda plans Link's birthday months in advance lol. She invites all of their friends over and she tries to make a cake (to mixed results). And she definitely frets over the details until the very last moment thinking Link won't be happy with his party. But he is. Because he loves her haha ❤️

I feel like Link also makes plans in advance, but they're a lot simpler. He plans quiet birthdays for Zelda. It's just the two of them, or maybe a small group of close friends. He plans simple trips for them to get away from daily life. Maybe they go to beaches or forests and they just take walks. And Link definitely prepares tons of food in a picnic basket lol. And they just relax and spend the day with each other. And that's more than enough to make Zelda happy 😌

Gosh, I feel like it could be either of them 😂 Somehow, I feel like it would be Zelda though. Link seems a bit too tight lipped to just casually go dropping personal feelings, even if he's drunk lol. But I feel like Zelda might start babbling once she loses her wits, and who even knows what she'll say then! A confession is definitely in the cards imo 😂💯

Zelda definitely takes longer getting ready. I feel like Link just slips on "whatever", pulls his hair back, and he's basically ready to go 😂 But Zelda always tries to make herself look as presentable as possible. She has an image to maintain, after all ✨

I think Zelda would offer small compliments while Link is getting dressed. Stuff like "Oh. You look handsome." (small smile). Meanwhile, I feel like Link might be a bit more descriptive with his compliments to Zelda? Like if they're alone, he wouldn't be afraid to say things like "You look beautiful/stunning/hot." 😂 Or he would say he likes her hair or her outfit or her earrings. Stuff like that. Especially if she's doubting how good she looks! He would totally hype her up if she needed it lol 🔥
