Victoria is one of a select few hyper-competent aides that have been trained to deal with people afflicted with severe macroptárnisma.

Macroptárnisma (literally meaning big sneeze) is a condition that affects an individual's nasal sensitivity, lung capacity and propensity for forms of rhinitis, culminating in the afflicted individual possessing abnormally large sneezes. People with macroptárnisma exist on a spectrum; some have sneezing fits small enough to scatter stacks of paper and others big enough to cause collateral damage.

For those on the more destructive side of the spectrum the municipal government will often provide them with an aide to help manage their condition. These aides, and by extension, Victoria, are certified in managing the condition and trained on how to deescalate itches, holdback sneezes, keep residences free of irritants, and prepare smooth trips to nearby safe zones.

She herself is not afflicted with macroptárnisma, but finds the condition intriguing enough to continue working as an aide to those who do. Victoria has been an aide to three other people before Chelsea, and was ultimately assigned to them because she is fantastic at what she does and Chelsea requires someone at the top of their game to keep up with them.
