how's my portrayal?

I'm going off the book's description.

In the books he is pale, blond with blue eyes. His paternal grandmother has Italian roots, but her children and grandchildren were pale enough to ignore their foreign heritage (when Gareth describes his father's distaste for their Italian roots and how he purposely does not mention it).

Lady Danbury might be black on the show, but in the books she isn't. A mere tan is even considered less than attractive, although Michael is initially tanned after his return from India, and Philip is somewhat tanned from working outdoors a lot. There are sections in the books devoted to this, because of society's opinions on it.

Like I don't agree with whitewashing, I also don't agree with blackwashing. And it is stated clearly in my list of muses that Gareth is a character from the book, so I go off that description. If I also RP'd the version from TV, it would say TV series as well in my list. Besides, Gareth has not yet appeared on the show. If I find him interesting enough in the following seasons and I wish to portray the show version as well, I will change faceclaim and mention of the muse accordingly.

It's nice that you have researched who Gareth is (Lady Danbury's grandson), but if you do not have knowledge beyond that and especially appearance wise, please refrain from commenting on my portrayal of him. I have many other muses to comment on.
