i mean, the original kai and gerda are not included in the movie but inspired kristoff and anna respectively. the names, however, went to the butler and one of the maids in the castle.
these last two are not main characters and their names are not really a ‘known fact, so i don’t see why they couldn’t be. also, they are so going to ‘explain’ elsa’s powers and it’d be a nice way to continue to pay homage to the original story.
