Anyway, I was wondering if it would be alright if, for personal use only, I make some little badges with your chibi Lances on? He’s so cuuuute! And silly. Honestly, if I could have your art of him on a T-shirt, I would do that, but we don’t have T-shirt machines for home use, so.

I don't know about THAT in particular, but you mentioning the AU did spark a thought in my head for drawing Daniel as a cat again with Katie as the witch. So be on standby while I work on that. But for now? How about a WIP.

I'll be honest, I was really tempted to try and be funny and got with Legend of Korra inspiration and truly make Pidge old old. Maybe another time when I've got the vibe. But. I did have a vibe to doodle up hopefully more adult Pidge, unsure how to go about buffness. And because of mention of Toph? I had to go with my Blind Twinverse Pidge. It's been a while and it did feel good to doodle her up.

None of the paladins native language is english.

Other people figured this out because they hear them speak their native language when frustrated.

My favorite this is southern Keith so i just imagine they are all talking and at some point they are talking about where they’re from.

Shiro in older brother fashion ask keith to say “sunflower oil”. Keith glares at him and pidge is dying of laugher because she knows that keith can’t say those words without an accent.

I do love the idea that the Earthling paladins speak another language that isn't English (or common language/tongue as I put it for when they're in space since everyone seems to speak it, which has a whole different set of ideas as to why). Poor Keith and his accent. He probably keeps catching himself on it; his team doesn't tease him because of his accent, it's about how he reacts to his accent. RIP Keith. I feel like the Blade of Marmora is super intrigued by the languages and accents that come out of the kids, especially as their translators can't translate it.

Bonus: Some of them say something in one of their other languages, the Blade of Marmora, Allura, and Coran question if they're using insults or something. Odds are it's one of them saying something like "I miss banana bread back home" or "I could go for some good pasta". Extra bonus: Because Keith's accent sometimes comes out, some of the Blades thinks he's using another language. No. THey just don't know the accent enough to know it's the same language. They think "y'all" is something else when Keith says it. It gets worse when they meet his father (because I live for Chief, as I call his dad, living) and they ask Pidge for a translation because she can discern it the easiest after Keith. Pidge is no help as she's dying of laughter at their confusion.

So young kits purr when they are the most comfortable and hissed when uncomfortable. The hissing is a life long trait but the purring? about 40% losses the ability due to puberty, some lose it to repressing the urge for years.

Kits have the soft scuff spot on the back of the neck, just about were the nape is. If you pinch it they freeze and occasionally get low to the floor. As they get older the part strength to normal muscle both from growing and having it pinched when young.

So Keith? he still purrs, it happens when he’s in a deep sleep. He has 0 clue. And his neck, pinch it and he will freeze and get lower to the ground. It takes dumb long for this to be figured out about him.

I feel like Lance is the first to notice the neck thing, noticing it because it's so easy to yank Keith back once the collar of his uniform or clothes is pulled. Unlike Pidge who would probably still go at them when grabbed as if she were a dog ready to fight. Keith? He reacts even with clothes. And Lance would probably accidentally find out about the nape of the neck thing by accident. Or by seeing Kolivan or Antok grab him and Keith just reacts.

The fact that Keith doesn't notice it right away, it probably takes a few months after Lance notices.

Keith: And they just grab my neck. And I can't help it! It's like I can't fight! I just... go flat! Lance: You just noticed? Keith: What? Lance: Yeah, seems to happen a bit with your clothes, too. Less freezing up, but it's easy to pull you back, like some weird cat reaction. Keith: ..... Keith: IT'S BEEN A THING THIS ENTIRE TIME!?!?!?!?! I THOUGHT PIDGE WAS JUDGE FREAKISHLY STRONG PULLING ME ALONG BUT SHE'S BEEN TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THIS REACTION BY GRABBING THE NECK OF MY JACKET!?!?!? Lance: No, no, she is freakishly strong. She can hold up Hunk, remember? Keith: Oh yeah. But still. This is a thing?!

Poor Keith. I feel like a lot of the senior Blades do this a lot if Keith gets hot headed. Bonus: they try this on Pidge because she can be chaotic and dangerous, but it has no effect. Any other Earthling reacts by freezing up, which differs from how Keith reacts, but Pidge does not and she twists on them and finds a way to get loose. Keith finds this absolutely hilarious.

They never hid that fact that they were dating, if they were asked they’ll be honest but they never cared to let people they weren’t close to know so there a lot of misconceptions about them.

Colleen know by that’s because Keith also asked her for permission to ask pidge out (Colleen scares him even though she adores keith) .

How long do you like it take for Sam, BOM and the rest of Voltron to realize that they’re dating?

(if I am following the timeline properly then they should have been dating for at least 2 years before Voltron formed)

First off, yes. Colleen definitely scares him. She probably scares anyone and everyone. Except Sanda. Sanda might be used to her. But that's probably another thought for another time. And somewhat her daughter. Pidge has slight fear, but not enough to keep her from standing up to her own mother.

As for Sam? Honestly, he probably notices very quickly. But he doesn't say anything because "Well, if my kid wants to bring it up, she will. And Keith's a good kid, this is fine." He probably notices from a very tiny obscure detail about Pidge sharing or giving something to Keith, something nobody else really knows since they don't know her THAT well.

It's gonna take the Blade of Marmora much longer. They don't know quite as much about Earthling courtship and relationships. And Pidge and Keith aren't really diabetes inducing sweet affectionate with each other. They're more casual and it can even be seen as friendly as it seems similar with their affection with others on the team. ESPECIALLY if kissing on the cheeks and hugs are normal. Because honestly? I can see kissing the cheeks being normal with friends or partners, especially with happy moments. Hunk gets the most kisses on the cheek because of his good cooking that makes them miss home just a smidgen less. So the BoM struggles to notice. It might take until Antok or Regris get fed up not knowing for certain so they ask.

Antok: KEITH! Keith: What? What'd I do?! Lance: Oooh! Tailed uncle's gonna scold you! Keith: Oh shut it. Antok: Are you and the green paladin a couple? Keith: Oh. Yeah. We are. For the past year or two by now, I think. Pidge, how long? Pidge: Around a year and a half, maybe more, I think. Killbot Phantasm 25 was already out. Keith: Thanks. Lance, smirking and amused: Of course you nerds base it on when a video game came out.

How do you think Matt and Shiro would react to such a change in personality from their respective siblings? How do you think Sam would feel once he saw the change in Pidge?

Pidge Personality Change:

After Matt and Sam went missing she bottle up her feelings till she exploded. From there she became hotheaded and hostile to most people around her. Hunk and Lance are still her friends but they aren’t as close to her. She entered the garrison program as Katie and got kicked out for punching someone. Then she reentered the program as pidge. Her hair is more shaggy with lots of layers in this au since she impulsively hacked it off. She also started to wear Matt’s old clothes that he no longer fit into so she can blend in and look more masculine. She started to look like Matt when he was her age. She looked so much like him that her mom got angry at her because her mom thought for a second she was actually Matt. When Pidge spotted Shiro back on earth when he crash landed she almost started beating on him but she was quick to realize he was disoriented and wasn’t able to fight her off if she took him.

Keith Personality Change:

Once Shiro was “confirmed” dead he just gave up. he stopped putting in effort in any academic. He only put effort in being a pilot or when sparring. He never got kicked out the Garrison, he dropped out. He stopped being hot headed because he stopped seeing a point in feeling anymore. At this time Keith is the most disconnected with his humanity. He developed a cold personality and kept his face constant neutral. His face doesn’t show his emotion as much anymore. He stopped being a leader and stuck to being in the shadows. He stopped arguing and fighting with rude people. Instead he would ignore the fact that it happened but if it bothered him to the point of doing something then he’ll beat the person till someone pulls him off. Keith didn’t think Shiro was the real Shiro for a while when he first crashed on earth.
