proud to live in a country where a protest against the rape of an 8 year old muslim girl in a temple draws counter protests to protect the 60 year old, honourable priest and his associates who raped said girl.
proud to live in a country where the ruling party takes a second to dismiss MLAs who cross voted, but will not disavow an MLA who raped an 18 year old girl back in September- will instead get her father beaten to death.
proud to live in a country where the media is only too willing to be pegged by the politicians, an eager tool in matters of propaganda till there's no more money to be made from having a certain kind of selective bias. proud to live in a country where worried relatives call me when they hear that I went to a protest march and say "But what about the hindu girl who was raped in a mosque?"
I'm so proud that I might just crack open with anger. Or jump off of a roof.
If the universe gives me anything that I ask for I hope itās this. I want to put an end to all of the suffering people around the world. The ones that are victims or brutal rape and murder. I want to put an end to the evil powerful people in their country that do not value humanity. I want people to stop sleeping on the streets. I want people to stop starving every night. I want people to be able to pursue their dreams regardless of financial or societal status. I want to see people all over the world live a happy and healthy life. It breaks my heart that people are still taking advantage of the most vulnerable. When will this all stop? My heart is really hurting for all of the people suffering in the world today. For the rest of my life, I want to help people get out of their horrible situations. I was given way to good of a life to not spend it serving others.

I would like to pay my tribute to the child victim, eight-year-old Asifa. In Kashmir, she was kidnapped and kept in a Hindu temple for 8 days. After 8 days of [being continuously raped], she was murdered. I would like to condemn this act of barbaric killing. [It was a] completely inhumane act. This is terrible.' .
