“You gotta show me Ashy please please please!”
"You take these spheres called ooganibombs, and you throw them like this to activate them."
"When activated, it hatches into these ugly fuckers. You gotta be careful with them, they're uh... I guess one could call them parasites, but they're vital to the game. They hold the eggs of the fiduspawn you're trying to summon, but you can't summon the fiduspawn with JUST these guys. You need a Host Plush, which is a safer alternative than... you know... actual Trolls. The fidusucker will latch onto the Host Plush and inject its larvae, and then the larvae will rapidly grow and burst out of the Host Plush.
"Expyno says it's similar to the 'face huggers' in the human Alien movie, whatever that means."
"Your Fiduspawn hatches! This one's a Hexuni. Here I'll pull up her Spawnpedia page."
"This one hatched at level 6 'cause it's been a breeding project I've been workin' on for a while now. Usually they hatch at level 1. Um, a lot about Fiduspawn is about breeding and fighting to the death. You gotta take care of the Fiduspawn you summon if you want it to grow its stats and gain levels. This one has SHIT ass defenses. It's hard breeding good ones for Hexuni since they're usually not the defensive types.
"Oh, speakin' of types, that symbol up there is its element. Fiduspawn don't usually have elements but it's something you can breed into or teach them down the road. This Hexuni is a fire element.
"After enough time and care they'll grow into Stage 2 Fiduspawn and then you can stud them off to yours or other players' Fiduspawn, then they make ooganibombs and the process starts all over again.
"This started as a trading card game. Whatever hand you draw, that's the Fiduspawn you have to summon and fight with. You draw two Fidus cards, and some resource cards, and whatever you get stuck with that's the round you have to slog through to raise your creature. Usually you play against another player and to the creatures' deaths to get a winner. They've also come out with digital versions of the game. Fiduspawn Black and White is my favorite, but recently they've announced an open-world Fiduspawn game so I'm lookin' forward to that.
"Uh... I can make you a starter deck, if you're interested."
