I feel that tho my first ex [he was pretty shitty as a partner but an..... only slightly shitty friend (before he dumped me)] made me a literal cd mixtape and influenced my music taste a LOT. so now every time i hear one of my higher ranking artists (lizzy mcalpine and starbenders mostly) i think of him bc he introduced me to them

also fun fact my gf and i have an Our Song and it's one of the songs i had from my first ex ;;;;;

it's sweet tho and i don't mind it's just a little weird sometimes yk... like it reminds me of him constantly?

I don't miss him, he shattered my heart and moved on literally instantly, but i do miss not knowing heartbreak.

then there was my second ex. she was uhhhh... yeah. she existed. very awful person, lovebombed me, i got so caught up in her affection that i couldnt say no when she asked me to be her boyfriend. everyone around me hated her but nobody said anything until after she broke up with me apparently. after she did that i realised how absolutely shitty she was as a person, she did a lot of shit to me and my friend group that i will not talk about on the tumblrs, and the reason she broke up with me was "because neither of us were ready for a relationship" (read: my grandmother who was pretty much my third parent had just died a week or so prior and i was spiralling into grief and couldn't give her the attention she wanted).

she also had osdd, which was fascinating but also like.... very odd? because sometimes one of her little alters would be out while we were talking and she would try to flirt (sexually) with me despite co-fronting with a little. and she also informed me at one point that i was also dating the other adult (she was 18) alters by proxy and that was a little bit weird. especially since one of the people i was 'dating' I literally only met twice, and both times were after we started dating. she was a bit fucked up.

she started dating me (dating is a loose term) right after a breakup. bc i was the best at comforting her through it.
