Norwegian black metal band ASARU returns after fourteen years with a new album, "V.O.I.D.". A concept album that delves into the four elements (fire, earth, air, water) and their opposites (humanity, religion, war), with life as the connecting element and the grave as the epilogue. Not necessarily a new concept, but an ambitious one, and coupled with high-quality pure black metal, the result is impressive. With "V.O.I.D.", ASARU deliver a complex black metal journey – dense soundscapes, intricate riffs, aggressive and atmospheric. ASARU was formed in Darmstadt, Germany, in 1995 and operated rather underground until 2007, when they disbanded, only to be reborn two years later in Oslo, Norway.
