(The Tain AU it is!) Amnesiac Sigurd has risen enough through the ranks to end up helping Arvis get ready in the morning, and is confused when he sees healed over stab wounds along his sides. He asks about it, and Arvis admits that while he was still rising through the ranks in court (AKA: a child), there were a good few assassination attempts on him, especially from the more well-connected mistresses Victor had. Sigurd is horrified, and as he finishes helping him dress, he then bows and takes Arvis’s hand. “That will never happen again. I swear it.” Arvis’s is not convinced, since having Sigurd so close is to make sure the latter doesn’t die (until its necessary, but now…), and is confused with how fierce his expression looks.
