the victim blaming, hitting her kid, encouraging his problem solving through violence because that’s what she does while also criticizing him for it. i’m absolutely sure that she’s a major reason why he’s so emotionally stunted and is terrible with dealing with his emotions without getting overwhelmed

i’m sure he also suffers from ptsd, an inferiority complex, anxiety, and gifted child syndrome, all brought on by how he was raised and encouraged by his parents. it’s shown time and time again that punishment does not help children but hinders their development. instead, positive reinforcement for good behavior and gentle coaching is the way to go. mitsuki claims he’s always been hard to control, but issues like that don’t come out of nowhere. they are her own fault (i blame teachers, too) so she can’t say shit

she’s a bad mom and he’d do well to gtfo as soon as he’s old enough to leave her behind. i imagine moving into the dorms helped his mental state immensely being away from his mother and having a bit of independence

POV:

Instead, he indulges in you, just enough to quell the heat spreading from the base of his spine. He allows his hands to slip beneath the hem of your shirt and pull you closer, grins when you shiver as he strokes his fingertips down the side of your spine, a mirror to where his kagune is.
