life feels like it's catching fire faster than I can put it out, and Iโm doing my best to survive,
however:
Because of Trumpโs new tariffs and my local post dropping the only affordable US shipping option, my shop has been crushed. A $50 item would arrive with an extra $50+ fee. totally unjustifiable for almost everyone, and 99% of my audience is American.
so after 11 years of building my little online business, my only income disappeared almost overnight.
I'm a chronically ill immigrant, so I canโt just jump into a new job instantly. Iโm applying everywhere, asking for assistance, calling every resource I can find, but even my appointment for emergency support isn't happening until January 12.
I donโt really have anyone here. my brother is unemployed and my parents are trapped in Venezuela.
this lil business helped me:
escape a violent country, survive through COVID without papers when legal stuff was put on hold, escape an abusive relationship, recover from accountant fraud, pay the treatments of two pets with complex illnesses, etc. but each blow has come one after the other, and I'm just... In shock. About everything that keeps happening.
like I just want to make a cute dragon with clay and send it to people wtf?
