Love "Forever Changes" 2xLP. So, this album sounds absolutely fantastic. Kudos to @mobilefidelityofficial on making a great sounding record sound even better! While I think the whole album sounds great and there are some truly classic songs on here, I must admit I think the album is a bit overrated as a whole. Listening to it even now in all of its MFSL splendor, I can understand why it was not a success when originally released. There was a lot more interesting stuff going on, even to the point where an absolute stunner like "Alone Again Or" could be overlooked as a stand alone single. Archive Quality 1967 US first press 7-track MONO LP on the Elektra gold label with 'COL' etched in the run-outs, the second album including the classics Seven & Seven Is & the side-long 18-minute Revelation. Comes housed in the original heavy card matt picture sleeve with period gold catalogue inner. The sleeve has no deletion cuts & appears Near Mint, still in the open shrinkwrap with a vintage dollar price sticker attached. LOVE Da Capo. Rare 1967 UK 7-track MONO LP on the textured dark orange Elektra label with 'POLYDOR RECORDS LIMITED' credit and with the catalogue number printed the same as it apears on the sleeve 'EKL-4005', fully laminated picture sleeve. Polydor took over distribution very early in 1967, so this is technically a second pressing, although it uses the same 11-66 dated plates. The second album by the band, with all songs written by the legendary Arthur Lee, including the classics Seven & Seven Is and the eighteen minute side-long Revelation. The sleeve shows minimal shelfwear with just a little laminate lift at the spine & remains very white indeed. The labels are very clean with just a couple of very light spindle marks, whilst the vinyl shows minimal signs of play with just a few very light paper scuffs to show for fifty years. An outstanding example of this classic album in the superior Mono mix.
