I never said this- but in episode 5 of Merlin, I like to think Arthur asked Lancelot if he thought Morgana was beautiful because he knew that she was, but didn’t feel attracted to her, and wanted to know if the problem was him.

“you are and always will be the son i never had” no bond is as strong as Merlin and Arthur besides the bond Merlin and gaius have. it is the only relationship that comes close to merther (a bond so strong you would die for the other)
you literally have Merlin risking for Arthur ➡️ Merlin willing to die for Hunith ➡️ Gaius sacrificing his life for Merlin ➡️ Merlin killing Nimueh

I’m sure there are other GREATER episodes I haven’t seen but so far, this has been unmatched. you really have the cycle of people sacrificing their lives for one another and then an angry Merlin which is kinda hot 🔥

I’m calling it and this may be premature but 1x11: the labyrinth of Gedef has to be the greatest episode of merlin EVER. Merlin and Arthur both willing to sacrifice and die for one another? you don’t need to tell me they love one another. this scene is proof they do love each other. don’t mind me, I’ll be crying in the back if anyone wants to join me

honestly Arthur tagging along to go help his man is basically the equivalent of taking your boyfriend to meet the family. you’ve got late night chats and laying next to each other, the jealous side character who is the bestie but doesn’t like the boyfriend, the wary mother who is basically approving this message. Merlin is basically taking Arthur home to meet the family and I’m just saying, it’s about fucking time
