Anywho, I was just wondering: what are your thoughts on the two ships, and if you prefer one? Also, would you ever consider doing a Sonic and the Black Knight fic in the future? (In no way do I mean to put you on the spot with this, I'm just genuinely curious because the details in scenery and location in your fics are always amazing, so I can only imagine if you did do one, I would literally feel like I'm in Camelot and get the authentic medieval vibe, if that makes sense? 😂)

Hello!! <3 oh my yes the cut scenes from SatBK are so good!! Every time I see fanworks or game play (or try to win the Gawain bossfight on my Wii) of SatBK I say a little thank you to Sega for that game - it's so wildly amazing for its creativity and the potential it fuels for fans💙

Ahh okay a preference is difficult to pick because I love all these versions of the characters and the opportunity of pairing them all so much! Seriously there's so many takes on them and if the writing is really good I can be pretty convinced for any of them for a story!

To me Lancelot and Arthur are distinct versions separate from Sonic and Shadow even though they "look the same" (idk where the ideas come from but Arthur having darker royal blue quills compared to Sonic's and Lancelot having a scar under his visor are both genius headcanons!)

As for shipping them....

Sonic and Shadow one way or another each visiting Avalon/Camelot and finding each other across time and space is a classic in my heart <3

Arthur bending the knee for his knight and his knight rising above station to earn his favor. (The angst of these two is delicious and I could go on and on and-)

Sonic pining after Lancelot because he reminds him of Shadow (bonus points for not realizing he's actually in love with Shadow until drama happens with Lance and/or Arthur🤭)

Arthur falling for Shadow because he's some kind of "untamed" reflection of his knight not bound by such honor. (And then Sonic getting jealous!)

Sonic falling for Lancelot or Shadow falling for Arthur because he's just a little bit more noble than their counterpart (this one is probably my least favorite because it's a little too heartbreaking)

what I would give for a truly well written and epic slow burn love square/tangled mess with happy endings and devastating medieval political intrigue (I'm talking 400k my eyes hurt from reading through the night for a week straight) <3

That was a lot of thoughts to say that I really like Sonic/Shadow and that these Arthurian versions are overflowing with potential story!

I definitely won't deny that I do have a few different wips that I've been jotting down ideas for ever since I first watched the cut scene movie of SatBK 😅 (tbh the one that has the most work done on it is actually a Galahad and Lamorak one-shot) - So while I have a lot to consider there's nothing I'm ready to share yet 💙

That being said - I do have another long fic that I've been working on in fits and secrets for a while now (started it back when I was updating GfG) and I plan to share it once SkG is completed! If you're looking for sweeping scenery, a fated love story, and a little bit of tragedy - I think you'll like what's to come❣️
