✨”Progress, not perfection, is what we should be asking of ourselves.✨ Julia Cameron ⛰I tell myself this as I struggle to get my first talkie video done, writing the script to put into captions, dealing with unexpected challenges like a zit on my nose,👃🏻 getting makeup in my eye, 👁 having a jittery reaction to the hot (very dark) chocolate I made to comfort myself, coming up to speed on new apps needed to accomplish this and chasing the diminishing hours of natural light that come with these shorter fall-into-winter days...overall feeling stressed to get my next IG post up to maintain the “algorithm”....etc🥴 ⛰Ever have one of those days??? Or several days?! ⛰I remind myself it all means new growth, so worth fighting for, but meanwhile in the midst of it all, it feels over-the-top frustrating. And so, I take a big time-out before I get back to it. And I make more progress, but ultimately decide that “ tomorrow is another day” where I can begin anew. ⛰And so today I make another attempt to surmount the challenges of this new video project. Looking inside the mental cage. Studio for a painting. Watercolor. A good time to use them again after a couple of years. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ We all want to be free to do whatever we want. it sounds like a mainstream ad from tv. isn´t it.? we are struggling every day to be that ideal person we want to, but the truth is that we are socially conditioned. maybe you all those dreams you have appears to be impossible to be reached. so what will you do? -Do nothing! it seems to be the best way to not to be dishearted, on the other hand, the mental cage is rather comfortable. the cage seems to be safer, cosy, warmer and peacefully. why the hell to go outside ?. one would think. the good news is that you can break through these cages, once you get the guts to be fearless and prove yourself and then you go outside,now you will realize that nothing terrible happens! Greeeeat! you won this time! but, the bad news is after passing this one, you are into another bigger mental cage. so that is the challenge you have to prove to yourself every day. or perhaps, is it another mental cage socially conditioned by society.?
