Salman Iqbal, the renowned coach of Pakistan's javelin star Arshad Nadeem, has been handed a lifetime ban by the country's Athletics Federation. This came right after Iqbal had sent a response to the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) regarding Nadeem’s underwhelming performance at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

Tensions Between Coach and Federation Iqbal has been at the heart of Arshad Nadeem’s rise to prominence, coaching him through highs and lows, including his Olympic gold win. But in recent months, the relationship between the coach and the athletics federation seems to have soured.
