Sometimes you find lost treasures and you just can't believe it. I've made a few jasper, obsidian and carnelian arrowhead pendants in the past that were sourced from Canada by my lovely Father-In-Law, but I found this raw quartz arrowhead at the bottom of an old jewellery box at a flea market in Newark last Monday. I'd initially overlooked it in the first rummage until it caught my eye as I was leaving. It needed some TLC and a thorough sonic cleaning, but I'm thrilled to have repurposed it in my usual arrowhead style with recycled sterling silver wire and salvaged turquoise agate and lava beads reclaimed from broken necklaces. Did you know that in the past some folks believed clear quartz was fossilised ice?
