My new Anna and Arrendelle funko-pop pins I got from the mall. They match perfectly with these Carpe Diem quotes I’ve had on my cubicle walls for the last year.

Idk why but i feel like the frozen franchise needs to specialize anna more. Like, I know she's great bc she's already strong enough to stand on her own and for both frozen movies and all the frozen shorts, she's always played a titular character. She has definitely gotten a huge amount of screen time, and she's probably the one most involved in the story (after Elsa).

But i want more. I just think that Anna often gets overshadowed by Elsa because Elsa get's all the cool powers and the pretty transformation scenes. And while Anna gets a lot of screentime herself, I think she deserves more. Anna's a heck of a woman, but she's always acting in the context of Elsa's actions (unless it's a scene with her and Kristoff). In the 1st movie, she goes off to save the kingdom from eternal winter by reuniting with her sister. In the second, she goes to save Arrendelle and also protect Elsa. She gets her moments, yes, but they always pull the best tricks for Elsa's scene. Elsa's more glamorized than Anna, and it's always been Elsa who's given more attention when it comes to driving the story. But I need more of Anna's own story and development and complications and stuff. Sure, in the first movie the journey is seen in Anna's eyes for the majority of the time. But the story is still ultimately not about her. We're more drawn to Elsa's powers. (**spoilers below**)

Even with her becoming queen. It's not like the story genuinely shows her exhibiting a leadership that would make her the best possible ruler for Arrendelle regardless of Elsa's involvement. It's as if she's only stepping into Elsa's shoes because Elsa has more magical things to do as the 5th element. I wanted to see her becoming more queenly than Elsa, more suited to the throne, to the point where if Elsa's powers weren't taken into account the top choice would still be Anna for being more suited to the throne, not because the duty falls to her now that Elsa's had her stint as queen but now has better things to do.

And idk how the studio might do this. Give Anna powers. Reveal some special thing about her which would match Elsa's specialness. Let her be the main main character for once. Let Elsa and her powers be the helping hand, and not the sole purpose for Anna's journey. Idk I dont think I'm expressing this the right way but just let anna have her moment, okay? Okay.

The only thing that would make this better is that Nick Fury showing up and saying “I am here to talk about Disney Princess Avengers Initiative”
