#aroace headcanons

Okay, okay, so we're going to start off strong — one I don't see a lot, but I was thinking the other day and now it's a strong aroace headcanon.

Stanley Pines (Gravity Falls

Yes. Stan Pines. Look, I get it — he had a marriage, a couple I think?? Can't remember. And yes, he's a flirt and he had a crush on Lazy Suzan... But what if he just likes the idea of love? What if he just uses flirting to fit in? Who's to say he likes love or even wants a relationship?? At the end of the ep he gets with Lazy Suzan, he clearly regrets it. So what if that's the realization of not wanting a relationship?

Steve (The Owl House)

I remember the first time I found out that Steve was not canonically Aromantic nor Asexual. Yes, we have our aroace queen, Lilith, but I need more. Now, I can't really explain this one, just watch the show and watch how he acts — also that one scene with him crying over a couple? Lots of Aroace people do that; although some don't, some do.

Regulus Black (Harry Potter)

Okay. This is extremely similar to Natasha. I ship Jegulus. I like the idea of him and others together. But in canon? That man was definitely aroace and was definitely confused as to why Sirius was doing all these things to 'be happy' or 'out of love'. Like?? No?? That doesn't exist??

Peter Pettigrew (Harry Potter)

I can't explain it. Just.. just listen to me. I swear he's aroace.

Tyson (Percy Jackson)

I can't fully explain it, but the whole Tyson and Ella seemed really...forced??? There's no interaction between the two of them, as I know, and Tyson just seems like a very loveable guy to me. I'd say he is strictly asexual, finds the idea of that gross. Do I think he could be in a romantic relationship? Yes and not really. Do I think he'd want that? No.

Thaila Grace (Percy Jackson)

Did she have an implied crush on Luke? Yes. But many aroace people are confused!! Brotherly love I swear.

Natasha Romanoff (Marvel)

Do I ship Winterwidow? Yes. But I also see her, in the mcu, as purely asexual and maybe a romantic. But

Yelena Belova (Marvel)

I respect all my precious Boblena (I think that's the ship name?? I dunno, I don't ship that) shippers and the other uhh what other people do you guys ship her with... Anyways!! Yeah. The moment I found out her existence, I got a very big "no love, no sex, I don't give a fuck about that" vibe. The thing with bob looks extremely platonic to me.
