ARO, A BRIEF BACKGROUND OVERVIEW
harun was born in a smaller city near the now archeological site of mohenjo-daro (located in modern pakistan), during the late period of the harappan civilization, around 1900 BCE
he was was killed in his mid 30s by a pishacha, a creature with red eyes and various supernatural abilities (shapeshifting, invisibility). but instead of eating him or possessing his body, the creature turned him into one of its own. the pishachas are alledgedly the offsprings of daksha, an aditya (son of the vedic goddess of infinity) who is also a figure associated with sacrificers. he has been called in many ways, including utukku, ghûl, strigoi and, finally, vampire, but none of these terms is entirely correct even if they do bear similarities. mainly the consumption of blood and flesh, as well as the affinity with darkness
after his return to "life", he inherited the blood red eyes of his maker and specific abilities of his own (touch telepathy)
his original name buried under the rubble of an ancient civilization, he adapted it in various forms through the centuries. currently, he is mostly known as aro, but old acquientances might also call him harun.
