everybody in fandom could have so much more fun if they started playing around with aromantic identities more. why is it that the only time a character is headcanoned as aromantic, they're headcanoned as aroace. why is it that the only aspec microlabels ever included in headcanons are the asexual ones. there are so many characters that would be infinitely more interesting to interpret as aromantic or aro-spec. ask me about it. ask me about it

Thinking about the tragedy of an aro reading of kris. Them being ignored and overlooked by their friends because there’s a ‘more important’ relationship for the others to tend to. Because the platonic love they carry for their friends isn’t enough. Because they’re just too broken to be valid, missing the piece that makes all the love they have to give worthwhile. They aren’t important enough to be valued, not when all they have to give is their complete devotion and companionship, their sacrifice, their care. It will never be enough to come close to a stupid peck on the lips.

Grace calling himself aroace in the most common "its where you don't wanna date/get married/have a romantic and sexual partner'' conception for a while without looking into it that much, then panicing when he experiences sexual attraction at some point thinking he was wrong or became a 'late bloomer' stereotype he knows people hate, only to investigate further and find that aroace is actually two different words, aromantic and asexual, amd they're not synonyms. and he finds he's Aromantic, but not a sex-repulsed asexual (take your pic of what it is, allo, gray, demi, sex-favorable ace, etc)
