Empath – emotional manipulation as a power source (and a punchline).

Tarot – literally drawing destiny cards like it’s a rigged casino.

Jetstream – speedster with zero impulse control.

Catseye – feral vibes, perfect instincts, zero respect for causality.

They operate out of a stolen Kang Chrono-Depot that Arno rebrands as:

HELLION HQ: TEMPORARILY OUTSIDE OF TIME (DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING)

No one listens.

Act I: Kang Thinks He’s the Smartest Guy in the Room

(Classic Kang Mistake)

Kang recruits Arno because:

Stark brain

Frost ruthlessness

Zero sentimental attachment to the present

Kang’s pitch:

“Help me collapse the Avengers from the inside.”

Arno’s internal monologue:

Cool cool cool. I’m gonna rob you blind.

Arno feeds Kang just enough intel to keep him smug:

Minor Avengers misfires

Slightly off-time hero arrivals

Villains winning by this much more than usual

Kang’s like:

“Ah yes. My perfect plan unfolds.”

Meanwhile Arno is:

Copying Kang’s tech

Backdooring his time gates

Printing future weapons like they’re Funko Pops of war crimes

Act II: Tony Stark Figures It Out (And Immediately Panics)

Tony realizes something’s wrong when:

His future self acts like a depressed war criminal

His tech is being used in timelines that should not exist

Arno starts talking like he’s ten steps ahead of causality

Tony confronts Arno.

Arno responds with:

“Relax. I’m not betraying humanity. I’m embezzling the apocalypse.”

Tony:

“That’s not better.”

Arno:

“It is if I win.”

Rick and Morty Energy Shift 💥

From here on out, the story leans hard into cosmic absurdism:

Multiple Kangs arguing like divorced dads at a PTA meeting

One Kang screaming: “WHICH ONE OF YOU GAVE THE KID FREE ACCESS TO THE ARMORY??”

Empath emotionally gaslighting a Kang variant into therapy

A Hellion accidentally erasing an entire doomed future and going: “Uh… does anyone need that?”

Arno treats causality like a spreadsheet:

“If I steal from a timeline Kang already ruined, it’s technically recycling.”

Act III: The Reveal – Kang Got Played

Kang finally realizes Arno isn’t loyal.

Arno drops the act:

“You thought I wanted to rule time. I just wanted your stuff.”

The Hellions activate:

Stolen Kang armor

Time-scrambled weapons

Counter-Kang tech designed specifically to kill him in every era at once

Kang rages:

“You can’t outthink a Kang!”

Arno:

“No. I out-source you.”

Cue Kang-on-Kang civil war, all triggered by Arno seeding false data across timelines.

The Final Fix to The Crossing

Instead of:

Tony being randomly evil

Confusing time loops

Everyone acting out of character

We get:
