As enlistment day fast approaches, it dawns on me how much I am going to miss all the wonderful friends I have around me. All these people that have stuck by my side through thick and thin, who've replaced a huge void in my life and have become my family. The people in my life who've made me feel loved, feel treasured and wanted. It's been 20 years of ups and downs, years filled with heartbreaks and lost friends, but in a short space of two months, God's unfailing love and provision for me has never been clearer in my life. He truly is Jehovah Jireh, God our Provider. And often we do not see it, or take notice of it, but He's always there by our side, helping us along the way, egging us on when we're down and out. It was by His grace that I made it into TP Psych, and because of that, found friends that have loved me so selflessly. It was His hand working when I was put into a cell that I honestly did not want to be in at first, but putting me there and allowing me to grow so much. It hasn't been easy sacrificing the things I love for Him, but how can sacrificing rugby ever compare to His one perfect sacrifice, Jesus Christ? Others might have strong arguments and opposing views, but when The Lord's love and mercies are so real in my life, there is nothing I can do but sing praises to Him. Thank you to all the wonderful friends in my life, but most of all, thank you God for being the most real in my life.
